Last night I was at a friend's for BBQ. I met a woman who was a fashion designer. She used to design for Eileen Fisher in NYC, left after 9/11.
Came to Seattle to design sweaters for the Nordstrom houseline Classique. Now she's the technical designer for their house active wear line Zella. FYI technical designers determine the nuts and bolts of the design and translation to actual production.
It was kinda cool.
