You know you're addicted to YLF when...

(this is in addition to observing people out in public and noticing things like PPL etc!)

* you are editing your kids wardrobes using the exact same principles you do to your own and having conversations like: "Yes Georgie, you are 4, that top is your favourite colour, has a horse on it, and it fits you, but it doesn't sit right and hangs funny so you have to give it away" & "Emma you cannot wear that incredibly short top with those pants - the proportions are all out"!

*you spend an hour on the weather website checking out all the historical data so you know what to expect for your first spring in your new town purely so you can plan your wardrobe.

*you wear leggings with a really long cardi to the landfill early on a Sunday morning and despite seeing noone, and feeling very comfy, you shudder at the thought you really are wearing leggings as pants in public LOL.

* you hear "Lady in Red" on the radio and instantly think of the Fashion Songs thread here...

ok so I think its official - I'm maybe just a tad addicted and obsessed LOL But I still think its a good thing!

So how about you? Any similar revelations?

mwahaha, i had a "lady, you're wearing pants as leggings" moment yesterday on the drive home!

there's no 12-step program for this, ladies. (not that i'd want to.)

Are you moving? or is this your first spring where you are right now?

the other day I wore leggings with a tunic that was pushing the length standard and felt guilty all day long. I even went to Costco.

then yesterday (being Saturday) I made an unplanned trip to the grocery store and spent the whole time drafting my YLF confession. Thing was, I wasn't all that bad... clams, and older knit top and *gasp* flip flops.

I check in with YLF before I check e-mail or Facebook

Here goes, adding to your list...
...when you find yourself critiquing outfits in public (often, the very same ones you wore in the pre-YLF days).

...when PPL becomes an obsession.

(nod to Queenie)...when you check YLF more than facebook just to see if someone posted some great photos or responded to your thread. Multiple times per day.

...when you purposefully *don't* log in so that nobody knows you're lurking. Again.

Haha on the leggings moments. I wore clams and a (blush) thin tank top yesterday for errands and almost couldn't stand it. "This won't be a photo day."

When you consider photographing your SO in approved outfits and pasting them inside his wardrobe so he knows what to wear. Like Anne said, it affects the whole family.

When you see items online or offline and think "oh yes, that's right, Tanya is looking for a white tunic shirt like this", etc., "must save the link".

When you're shopping for denim jackets and wind up going on a rant to the salespeople about how nothing is cropped and cheeky enough.
When you're browsing shoe stores and picturing the furious reactions of people like Angie and Maya about the heel heights available.
When styling options that seemed absolutely foreign just months ago now make absolute sense.
When you consider baring your soul on a rough day and hold off solely because the site is public.

LOL I'm loving your obsessions gals!!

And no, not moving, but I only moved here in October last year, so I wasn't really sure when spring hits etc... by October last year it was certainly very warm, so I think the next 6 weeks the weather will go from quite cool still (but not cold anymore), to hot... So probably only a short spring for me. I'm wearing my boots as much as possible at the moment!!

And thank you all so much for asking about my health - it means so much to me. I just wish I had better news Saturday morning I finished the last dose of my longer/stronger course of antibiotics, and a mere 36 hours later I had cold like symptoms, and this morning I am very headcoldy and not feeling all that great. So I have another Dr appt at lunch time today (Monday here), to see what is going on - I feel like I have zero immune system at the moment, and besides a bit of exertion on Saturday sorting out the girls play room, I really have been taking it easy and resting...

So I'll keep you posted, but right now I'm feeling very defeated and just worn out... At least my cleaning lady starts tomorrow!

I'm always checking out PPL on everyone now...even in magazines.

When before YLF, I only stepped into Nordstrom's once and now it's a given that I"m going to stop by there.

I no longer scream to myself "highway robbery" when I see shoes over $50. : )

hehe still loving your additions! I can't wait til October when I can swap my phone for an iPhone so I can check in when I'm not at home LOL

And thanks for all the well wishes. Dr has prescribed more antibiotics and ordered a whole host of blood tests because he wants to give my immune function a good check out. So in a few days I'll know more about that, but for now, more meds, more resting, more good food and lots of fluids... but I know the drill well by now! And at least tomorrow I get to enjoy the cleaning lady.

...when you take your 18-month old son into NordiRack to try on formal wear and while you're trying on dresses you're teaching him how to dress a pear shaped body. Then you're laughing when he properly & carefully double loops a long strand of pearls around his neck and wears them proudly!!!
