When you take something back to the shop because it is not 100% right!

I know it is pathetic but I have always lived with the mistake before.
Today I took back a pair of shoes just because I was not truly in love with them, Then I came out with a pair that I think are the “Bees Knees” Progress!!! 
If I was accepting an award I would thank Angie so much for this wonderful site and her gentle nudges to get you on the right track, and all you fabulous people!

I was at work yesterday and a customer was leaving and i just shook my head and thought about ppl. Her pants were way too short, lol.

I was pretty much the same, Aunty! I hardly ever returned items, except for H&M childrens clothes that I bought while the children were at school to save time. But this week I returned 2 items (and bought the obi belt with part of the change). Sooo much better than having the item live in the far end of the closet for about 2 years and giving it a one way ticket to charity after that.

Isn't that a great feeling, Aunty?
I had one of those moments today while getting dressed. I may or may not have left late because I was scrambling to figure out a way to bookend the black skinny jeans I was wearing with my purple tunic. The fact that I went with a black and white pearl necklace only cements my Ylfer status, methinks. Never mind the fact that I started thinking of more springlike combos I could have worn with the same top as soon as I realized the weather was warmer than I thought (hello, straight-leg white pants, pewter ballet flats and gold pendant).

You purchase a returnable item you aren't sure about, but that you'd like to try before it sells out. I never used to do this before; I'd hem and haw until I missed the boat!

When every where you go, you see someone you wish you could help on their style journey. . .or at least get them on some style path. I go to Food Court at the mall across the street occasionally, and I sit and look around and I wonder why some women seem to have just given up or don't even bother to try to look even somewhat pulled together.

Oh, and this a.m. - one dress - two different pair of tights, three different pair of shoes, three different belts, two necklaces and multiple bracelets until it was "just right!"

1. I notice PPL all the time now and have to bite my tongue.
2. I purchase and return without a second thought.
3. I'll purchase something and try it with my wardrobe, if I can't figure out how to style it/make it work in one month, back it goes.

I take a dress to the tailor that I've had for 12+ years and always wished the straps were just a tad shorter. Well as of today, they finally are
It is no longer an 'almost'. It is now a 'just right'.

I ordered a pair of Clarks booties and when they arrived I realized they were Clarks "dowdy" booties (not Indigo) and I sent them back. Even though I am now out the shipping at least I won't have a pair of boots in my closet that I don't feel good in.

That is the secret, do not settle!!

Angie, I exchanged them for the Clarks Capricorn Moon in french navy. They have a very slight purple cast to them I would never have even tried them on before now, but they not only look stunning they are soooo comfortable.

I used to just notice women's hair...now I notice ppl and a whole host of other problems that could easily be remedied...I try not to criticize in my head...heaven knows I have been there too!
