I don't think of clothes as armour, but I do identify with what UmmLila says...a great blazer will give me an instant jolt of confidence no matter what the occasion. And navy and red are my "power" colours.

In general, though, I tend to relate to my clothes more as a means of expression than as means of protection.

I think of it as a power suit or outfit rather than as an armour as the latter would make me think defensively and the former makes me feel strong and up to the challenge. A power suit is a way to present your best when the situation calls for it.

Joyce, that distinction makes sense to me -- that's how I see it, too.
