Your opinion? Cool or weird? It's very Alaskan but I am thinking it's my kind of scarf... my store has it in black.

Picture? Link? I bought my SIL a faux fur scarf last year and she loved it.

As long as it doesn't look like you have a dead critter attacking your neck I think you're fine.

It does look like a dead critter, a little. Or lots of little dead critters. Yeesh. Faux critters, though. But it's really cute (yes, I tried it on).

I'll be honest, I find it has a bit of dead critter look. But I pretty much don't like fur in any form, so I'm sure my opinion is at least a bit biased. But for cold Alaskan weather, I can imagine it would be warm and cozy!

Rita, I suppose could get a real one but I don't want to - I draw the line at real fur (yes, I know it's hypocrisy).

I may have to nab it and model it for a K/R. I can see why people might hate it but there's something about it.

Rae, thanks for the inspiration! Yes, definitely a tribe look - Arctic Warrior Princess is probably more apt for me anyway.

Surprisingly, I kinda like it. It's the mixed colors, I think. And it seems entirely appropriate for Alaska.

Somewhere in my parents' house I have a real fur stole that belonged to my grandmother. I'm not really sure what the critters are, but their claws are still attached to the stole. *Shudder*.

I really like the look, although maybe not that one so much with the fur tufts and yarn combo. I pinned this photo a while back because I thought I'd keep an eye out for something like it too.

I think I've seen this IRL and it looks like chicken feathers on a string... I have to vote no.

But mind you, I realise I'm lacking a certain kind of vision here. This could be a Road Warrior type accessory if you've got the knack.

Haha! It's the road kill/warrior aspect that I like. It's just silly enough looking to be light hearted, not trying to be a Serious Scarf. If it were real fur, it would look awful and I'd hate it.
