YO on (snub toe) black booties?

I have been feeling the lack of a black pump/dressy shoe/pump alternative for a while. Like, since last summer, when my Naturalizer pumps gave me epic blisters. I thought I'd get by with the Docs Marcies for work another year, but they are too heavy and clunky for work most of the time. I'm probably going to sell them. I have my spat booties, but they are much too high to wear often.

I tried this comfort brand that has been getting good reviews. Turns out they do live up to the hype, but I'm worried about the snub toe. Even deeply discounted, these weren't cheap, and I don't want to look matronly or out of date.

I also tried on these BP ankle boots that everyone says look like Rag & Bone. Also pretty darn comfy with a fabric lining and WAY less expensive. Didn't get a pic, but they are obvs. chunkier and less refined. BUT, they are a current item we sell and probably trendier.

Then there's #7, which I am totally, utterly in love with. But those are neither a pump alternative nor a Nordy item.

I'm confused. Greed, vanity, thriftiness, and practicality are all warring. WDYT?

For you, I say #7. They have the doc Marcy vibe without the clunkiness.

Well, I like #6 but I am probably biased because they look very similar to the EF ones I just got. And I do love the Rag&Bone style boots.

I am not convinced about the toe shape of the first pair. I know it's coming back into style but I'm not sure I'm on board. I do like the way they look from the side though. Also, that heel looks very high, comfort brand or no.

ETA: Last pair is cool too, but I agree a less refined vibe.

I love #6 too - My pair similar broke and I'm still searching for a suitable alternative.

I don't like the toebox of #1.

Is that the Trolley bootie? It looks exactly like my DV Joust booties, and I'd bookmarked it as a possible replacement someday if mine wear out. Yes, black booties are a staple for me! 6 seems to fit what you need the most. #7 looks like those OTBTs we were ogling a while back.

Thoughts on the rest:
7 feels like a take on the Ann Demeulemeester triple laces from a few years ago, which is so much love.

6 is nice, but feels more weekend-y to me, for some reason, and I can't tell what's going on enough with 4 & 5 to have an opinion.

Una, yes, those are the Trolleys! I was not even considering them, but we were training in BP and I slipped them on. Possibly more comfy than my Reports.

ETA: I'm wondering if I like 1-5 just because it is technically a 4" heel that feels like a 2" heel. Hm... maybe my pointed toe Earthies from yesterday can be my "dressy" shoe, and then I can get both 6 and 7 (6 is like $50 with my extra discount this week).

They are more dressy than my DVs because the heel on mine is not black but wood.

I like the Oh! booties very much, they look sleek and lightweight. You need something you can run around in easily at work I imagine. They are not matronly AT ALL. I was expecting to see you in something like the black Munro booties I had, but no--these are pretty hip looking to my eye. I know they have a platform and don't feel as high as they look, but the Big Momma in me just wants to make sure you wouldn't be doing damage to your feet working in a shoe that high.

5 and 6 look very Rae and very cool, but heavier and maybe not as streamlined for work. But maybe they just look heavy, and we all know looks can be deceiving. Boy, I bet you're glad I chimed in with my fat load of help, not!

I really like the first pair, they are polished and uptown in that Victoria Beckham sort of way and would prove very versatile in your work wardrobe.

6 is more casual and I'm finding there is an over saturation of slanted blocked heels in the K which is affecting how I perceive the boots.

Any more thoughts out there? Seems like a mixed bag so far.

After some more thought today,1-5 would also have the ability to dress up my colored jeans and Sloans, which tend to look like colored skinnies. The other two don't have that same pump-ish look.

Well you know I am always going to prefer the chunky heel, but 1 is pretty and more like a pump, as you said. I'm going to browse around for you. Any thought at all of Danskos?

Thanks, Una! I am definitely not against Dansko, and I did once try a sandal which was comfy. However, I really prefer at least a 3" heel with maybe a little platform for comfort, and it is super hard to find A) a comfort shoe that tall or B) a tall heel with a platform that cuts the pitch down below 3".
