Tonight, the first-ever Canadian YLF meetup took place in mid-town Toronto. Yes, I brought a camera but in my post-breakup haze I'd forgotten to ensure that there was room on the memory card and sure enough... it was full. So, you'll have to take my and Michelle's word for it. Sorry.
Michelle descended from the taxi in a crisp yellow blouse; patterned black, yellow and blue knee-length flowing skirt; pearls and foxy silver sandals. She looked lovely. I wore a white linen dress with its fabric belt swapped out for a brown leather one; brown open-toe pumps and a silver and amber cuff bracelet. And of course Reva was in her usual sleek black : )
Dinner was fab. We laughed and talked and laughed and talked and laughed and talked (a heavenly change from my heartache-induced moping). I had no idea Michelle and I had so much in common; we discovered we had even attended the same middle school... although in very different eras (Michelle being more than a decade my junior). Michelle delighted me with generous "break up gifts" of a stunning green bracelet and cut-stone drop earrings for my upcoming ear piercing.
I know that Angie isn't on this forum much at the moment, but even in her absence I wanted to acknowledge how much I appreciate this community that she and Greg have created. I marvel that I have been able to make a new local friend as feisty, as thoughtful and as bright as Michelle on a fashion website. Who'da thunk!? It's a testament to the beauty of YLF that we not only share style advice but also, our lives. Thanks, Angie & Greg (and supportive family members Rosie & Jasmine).
