So I thought it could be fun to share an early YLF WIW next too a more current one and a great exercise in seeing how much we have grown and learnt on our style journey to date.

Would anyone like to play?

I'm embarrassed! But I will go first.

I remember feeling very nervous and self conscious taking my first WIW pic. DH took it for me

Now I take my own pictures using a timer, found a better spot in the house for photos and actually enjoy doing my WIW pics.

Deborah, I think what I see is a high degree of sophistication - your style has become kind of more polished but also more artsy. You ROCK black and white and abstract prints. And I think you have really grown to know what outfits will flatter your beautiful figure very well over time!

I'll post mine in a moment as soon as I can dig them up.

(ETA: I also like how even at the early stages of your participation in YLF, you had a sense of what haircut worked for you, and it's stayed consistently fab since the beginning!)

Kari, this is great! You looked lovely in your earlier photos but it is clear that your style has evolved. I think one of Angie's gifts is in releasing our creativity and broadening our style horizons.

I see a lot more of your character, or personality, in your more current posts.

Ah, what fun (although #3 is not that bad, Deborah). I think I deleted all of my earlier YLF photos because I couldn't stand to look at them!

This is awesome! I think I remember Kari's first WIW!

Deborah, your first WIW outfit has mine beat by a MILE. Mine was terrible. One of these days (maybe soon) I'll have to post my first WIW for comparison. ; )

Haha, at first I thought #1 was an old outfit and I thought, WOW, that's actually pretty cool...glad the skirt in #3 is passed on.

Ooohhh, you had great style in the beginning too! What I see now is a refinement of proportions but the same artsy, clean lines with bold contrasts, still shines through.

You are very gracious AJ. I think #3 comes under the WWIT category (What was I thinking) lol.

So will you be posting any photos??

I agree with AJ...you've refined the proportions of your outfits, Deborah, but your innate sense of style shows through both then and now.

I'm pretty sure this is the first I posted back in 2009 (!) At the time, I found the process of sharing outfits harrowing, rather than helpful, so I didn't participate much until late 2011. Obviously, things have changed

Amy you look so pretty. One thing that hasn't changed is how beautiful you look in those colors. I think the things we all have in common is how Angie has helped us to hone and own our style.

AJ when I get home I will change this thread to non real time. I will see if I can do it from work but I am not sure I can.
