It looks as though the best weekend is Oct. 13 - 14th - so I say, lets go for it! Those of you who need to make reservations, THIS IS THE WEEKEND!

Also, would you all (the "definitely I'll be there," as well as the "maybes" please pm me with your e-mail addresses so that we can communicate group-style on the logistics, OK?

Alaska Girl that depends on where the meet up is. LAX is on the westside. Burbank is in the valley.

ETA: That is if it is in LA. For San Diego or OC there are other options.

Everyone, if you are flying in, please DON'T go to LAX. John Wayne airport is *right there* next to the areas we had talked about hitting up in the original thread.

I believe the meetup would span two days, though if you can only make one or the other that is fine as well, of course. I would love to see anyone and everyone for however long!

Yay! I just got off the phone with Marley and she asked my why I hadn't responded on this. Well, it's because I didn't see it! LOL. This forum moves faster than a hummingbird. Yes, I'm in and can't wait to see everyone again and those of you who are coming for the first time. Looking forward to seeing you and shopping with you. Well John Wayne is the airport you want to fly to, and I think I can scrounge up the hotel info we used last time but I will not be able to book the hotel (will certainly be able to share in the cost, just can't afford to book it up front you know?). Need someone to be our AJ and manage all of this

I think AJ sent me the hotel info before she left the forum. Maybe if everyone who needs accommodations could PM me, we can determine how many rooms we need between the lot of us. And perhaps we could all send our share of $ via Paypal, so that whoever books doesn't have to front a bunch of their own money?

Oh wow - just got home and I am thrilled to see all of the responses so far! So sorry though that I wasn't more specific! You out-of-towners will want to fly into the Orange County John Wayne Airport. It is super close to the hotel (I think Rae has the details on the hotel), as well as the areas where we will be spending our time. Last year the out-of-towners came in Friday afternoon and evening and then we were all set to go first thing Saturday morning. If I remember right, some of the out-of-towners left Sunday night and some of them didn't leave until Monday. However, "one-dayers" are welcome as well! Come when you can and leave when you have to!!

I'm so glad to see this is taking shape. I'm watching from the sidelines!

I was looking into hotel reservations before I found out I could not make it. I don't think you need to pay upfront for the hotel rooms. The only thing you need to reserve a block of rooms is ONE credit card on file, and as people check in, the front desk will change the reservation to the credit card of the person taking the room.

IMPORTANT: Don't use a banking/ ATM card with a CC logo on it. If you use one, the hotel will deduct the stay upfront.

As long as you cancel any "leftover" rooms before the cancellation period - usually 24 hrs - the hotel bill becomes the responsibility of the person taking each room.

I'm sneaking back to the forum just to reply to this (Thanks Vicki for sending me the link!). I'll have to wait until closer to the date when plans are more firm to see to say for sure, but I am a definite maybe.

Actually, Vicki- I'm renting space in an antique store now and haven't been doing the markets. Weekends are still busy, but having a meet up in the OC where I can also squeeze in a visit to my folks makes it verrrrrry tempting!
