[YLF Secret Santa 2013] Last call to check your status

I'd hate you to be disappointed if you can't play Secret Santa this year because you hadn't completed the registration in time.

Hi ladies,

over the last few days some of us as well have been bumping the thread with the instructions how to sign up for our (traditional by now?) game of Secret Santa.

Since I know from previous years that some issues with signing up could with great certainity be anticipated -- and it proved to be so -- I left plenty of time for the whole thing.

But, there is only a week left, so this is last call to join the fun and also check that you can ACTUALLY play (it was not enough just to send me an email, you had to do your bit afterwards too).

I think most of those who wanted to play have already done their part, but some still didn't confirm the participation - therefore please read the thread "[YLF Secret Santa 2013] How To Play" where you can find the detailed instructions.

There are still 11 fabbers who signed up for International group and 3 from US-only group who did not confirm participation.

I don't want you to be disappointed thinking you've signed up. Please bear in mind that just because you've sent me an email with details to sign you for the game and I have added you to your group of choice, it does not mean you are automatically in.
You still need to confirm your registration.

Finally, please check if you can see on your Elftser account that you've been added to your group of choice.

If not, check your Inboxes for the email from Elfster where you'll find the details for the final step you need to do.

Debra, I've also removed the old registration request for you and tried to add you to the group again. Please check your email account Inbox (not YLF) - also check Spam and Trash folders, because the Elfster message might have ended up there.

Ok, I'm not in. I never use Elfster, so I've forgotten my sign-in and although Elfster keeps saying it's sent me my info I never get it, AND it won't let me create another account because I already have one with the same email address. Frustrated but I just don't have any more time to figure it out. Next year...

If not, and since a few people still have problems with signing up, I am thinking of a solution to make it possible for everyone who has problems with Elsfter to play.

Please search your Inbox for the Elfster email where the final step for your registration is. If you cannot find it let me know by PM, I'm on-line for a few more minutes.

I hope I'm not boring you to death with these reminders, but there are still people who did not complete the registration.

Please check if you can see yourself in the group of your choice on Elfster.

If not, check the Inbox to find that email where the details for completing the registration are. You might have a few as I keep resending the reminders, so use the most recent one.

If you still experience problems, please get in touch.

I'm pretty sure I confirmed. I can see the group for this year. It keeps wanting me to merge my accounts (which I swear I've done a dozen times)

Deborah :: it's not a trouble at all, especially if the people are signed-in And it was funny to see so many Debbies, Deboras and Deborahs. Who knew?

What I'm missing right now is confirmed participation from:

- 4 from "International"
- 3 from "US only"

Hi Ornella, still not working I have received all invitations to join but they end up as an error and ask me to try again later, which I did....same result.
I have emailed Elfster again and added the invitation you sent....fingers crossed

Debra :: any chance to create different email account just for this purpose? I know it's roundabout way to solve things, but seems faster than waiting for Elfster helpdesk to respond.
