YLF Outage Last Night

The short version: a power outage in the data center caused almost 9 hours of downtime last night. Apologies for the inconvenience.

At about 6:30PM (pacific time) yesterday there was a power outage in the datacenter where the YLF servers live. They have backup generators, so all should have been ok, but one of the generators failed. It took about 5 hours to get the power restored, and then another 3 hours or so to repair the damage caused by the power failure.

But YLF is running again and all seems to be well.

Found out frôm Angie and the post on FB. Thank you Greg for the up date. Because im in IT for a major university we had the same experience for a week. All heck broke loose with back up Gen failing. Lol that was a long disconnect. Anywho thanks for the hardworking and keeping a nerd girl like me informed.

Almost had a nervous breakdown. Lilypup *had* to tweet Angie for me. Lol. On the other hand, it was really fun to YLF twitter. I didn't realise before the survey that there was a YLF hookup via twitter.
