I have mentioned on and off that it would be fun to have a YLF gathering in my home borough. So far all of the NYC gatherings have taken place in Manhattan.
As convenient as it is to shop in Manhattan, my most treasured, unique, and memorable pieces tend to come from little consignment stores, boutiques, and markets in Brooklyn When I go shopping in big chain stores in Soho, I'm usually looking for something specific that I have to find. But when I shop at the flea markets or consignment shops where i live, the right things always find me. It's a much more fun experience overall, because you just never know what you'll find but you know it will be fab.
Would anyone be available and interested in a gathering some time in August?
