YLF Challenge Chain - Londonkiwi challenges Dusty

So here is my challenge to you...

Hopefully you have had time (as I am sure you are busy with your very cute little ones!) to read Angie's posts from Europe and I hope that you have been enjoying them as much as I have.

My challenge to you is to pick two (or all of them if you are really up to a challenge of the cities that Angie has visited and post outfits that epitomize the individual style of that city, whether it is Zurich's chic and sophisticated style, Antwerp's street style or Amsterdam's hipness - and there is still Milano to come.

Feel free to eat all the chocolate, pastry, waffles, pancakes and fries with mayonnaise you need to help you get in character - I will let you off the herrings.

Hopefully, this is ok, as someone who lives in Europe it has been interesting seeing the North American reactions to some of the styles of dress in the photos taken by Greg as similar styles are seen on the streets of London, so I would love to see an American interpret these Euro styles!

I forgot to post the what happens next but it is pretty simple you get to challenge Dawn and then Dawn gets to challenge Sihaya!

Hi Dusty - I hope I haven't missed your post completing your challenge, but I wondered how you were going with it?

Gosh, sorry. I'm working on it. I need to come up with something for Dawn so she can get going (no excuses, just me being a dunderhead). I'll get something posted for both in the next day or two.

And finally.....my response. I looked through the different cities and thought I could pull off the Amsterdam uniform: skinnies tucked into boots, tunic, cropped jacket and scarf. When I went to put the outfit together, I realized that this is pretty much *my* winter uniform and therefore not much of a challenge! I didn't think I could pull off any of the others, out of lack of clothing, but then I remembered that I *do* in fact have a pair of chestnut boots that don't get much use.

So here's my interpretation of the European white jeans and chestnut boots look (although, somehow, I don't think this is *quite* what Angie meant):

fabulous Dusty! when I saw the first picture, I thought "all she needs to do is lose the boots and she's set" so I was quite happy with your second pic!
I'm thinking though that the boots could work if you simplify the top combo in the first outfit. maybe lose the belt, or lose the jacket?

I'm agreeing with all the comments so far: the second outfit, sans beads, is The One.
