We're back on with the challenge while JewelryGirl is sorting through her computer troubles. We wish her the best of luck with it!

Yublocka: The random number generator gave me your number. Hope this will be a fun challenge for you.

I was lucky to have such an amazing portfolio to gather information on your style and recent purchases, but also a bit challenged myself to find something that you haven't tried. You're such a creative person and I love your personable, unique style. Very inspirational.

Seeing your pictures in walk shorts made me think that you would look great in pencil skirts. I was surprised not to see one. So here comes your challenge:

Start with a PENCIL SKIRT and build up a ***CASUAL*** outfit that involves a STRUCTURED JACKET (denim or leather preferred), a BELT and other ACCESSORIES to demonstrate your colorful style. You have a lot of flexibility with the shoe choice.

The second part of your challenge is to find a title for your look. Just for fun! I sometimes do this and remembering the title throughout the day brings a smile to my face. I can provide some examples if you have any questions on this.

Please don't feel pressured by the pencil skirt suggestion if you don't have any. A structured skirt that you have would be a fine alternative.

Oooh my turn - eeek! Thanks for your compliments LOP!!! And this is a great challenge for me: pencil skirts are very much unchartered territory for me!!!

One snag though is that I don't actually have a pencil skirt. I remember giving away one that was too big and another that was too tight, both of which I never wore. I do have a pencil skirt shaped dress that I barely wear so I am going to try and make an outfit out of that if that's ok??

I have been thinking about retrying the pencil skirt look as it has been a long time since I attempted it; who knows I may like it more now thanks to ylf!

Ok so that's a really long winded way of me saying I'm onto it.......stay tuned!!!

Ooh I just went rummaging around looking for the dress and found I do indeed own a pencil skirt!! Towards the end of last winter a friend gave me a brown suede skirt her sister had just handed down to her. How could I resist brown suede, as impractical as it may be.

Anyway I'll try and make a casual look out of this tomorrow, although I don't really know how to casual-down suede. I love a good challenge!!!

Alright, well here's what I came up with:

I couldn't pass by a challenge that specified "coclourful" and "leather jacket" without going for my new purple leather jacket. I'm actually planning on wearing it out tonight too (as long as it isn't raining).

I've called this look "Gyspy meets office", because the dangly earrings with hair pulled back and strappy sandals makes me feel like a gypsy. Wheras the pencil skirt, knit top and belt makes me feel like an outfit I'd wear to work.

This outfit is definitely out of my box, I would never have tried making a casual outfit out of this skirt since it is both suede, and a pencil cut. Still, I don't know if the pencil shape is for me. I feel too chunky boxy in it! I think I'm an a-line girl at heart. I've also never worn a belt like this either.

And as far as colourful goes, nothing can beat this bag. I bought it in the highlands of Vietnam and the embroidery on it is just divine!!!

My first go at this outfit was with leggings, because I was already wearing them today. I think it looks even more casual and colourful without them however:

And then, just to get a bit of YLF feedback, here's a less colourful variation with my denim jacket. I don't wear this jacket often at all, probably because I wear jeans so much. Is this jacket ylf-worthy or too boxy?? Note the red belt has slipped down in this shot - part of the reason I don't wear belts - I have no waist to hold them in place!!!

Tam, I don't think you look boxy in a pencil skirt. I love how you've styled it, especially the sandals. I would have never thought of pairing pencil with gladiators like that. I definitely think you need to work out some additional outfits with that bad boy, especially with boots.

As for the demin jacket, I think it is a bit boxy, but not so much that it's not workable. It does pale in comparison to the leather jacket. I suppose, it's hardly fair to compare it something so divine.

I think you look AWESOME in a pencil skirt Tam! And I agree with Alecia that pencil skirt + sandals is so refreshing and unexpected. Both jackets look great to me, and even the belt looks kind of nice where it is, actually, although as a fellow apple I of course I understand your hesitation. Also I really love your hair like that. It looks so feminine and pretty. Job well done!

Tam, I am late to this thread, but you look absolutely awesome! I love the way you styled this look. That bag just pulls it all together, and I also like how the low-slung belt in the 2nd picture plays with the hem of your turquoise top.

Thanks greenglove!! The earrings are from Aldo. I'd noticed the store in a nearby mall here but never gone in. Then in US/Canada I saw heaps of these stores. So I decided to visit the one back home. I picked these up in both turquoise and red cos I couldnt choose what colour to get. I was going to give one pair to my Mum for mothers day but have ended up keeping both - OOPS!!!
