Hehehe. Thanks for the morning chuckle .... Can't wait to see your final outfit

So here's the outfit I actually pulled together to meet my challenge. I think it's still very much me without looking like I tried to randomly combine little-worn things from my closet.

Do I get bonus points if, technically, once I include the jacket, I am actually wearing 5 items I haven't worn in over a year?

Here are the 5 not worn items and why I don't wear them often:

1. Vintage 1960's sheer silk Emilio Pucci blouse: I haven't worn this since I lived in Vegas almost 5 years ago. I've owned if for almost 20 years. The colors and pattern are very me but because it's lightweight and sheer I am almost always cold in it unless the temps are over 85 degrees. So I'll probably end up wearing my jacket over it all day today since the temps are supposed to only hit 72 or so. Which leads me to #2...

2. 3.1 Phillip Lim cropped trench coat with ruffle back: I'm honestly not sure why I don't wear this jacket more often. Maybe because the ruffled back feels too frilly to me? or I feel like I get lost in the boxy/drapy-ness of it? Not sure if it's a keeper yet. What do you guys think?

3. Sisley black wool wrap skirt: I own a few black skirts, both pencil and aline at various lengths. I think this one is very flattering with the slight A Line and I even paid to have it shortened to the right length for me after I scored it at the thrift store for $10 quite awhile back. I think this one's a keeper because it's classic even if I just don't wear skirts very often.

4. Vintage black leather booties: I have other pairs that look similar so these just don't get a lot play. I'll probably end up donating them.

5. Small gold hoop earrings: These are so dainty and I have several other pairs of gold hoops so these don't get worn much. I honestly can't remember the last time I wore them prior to putting them on today. I like that they are simple and classic, though. So I'll probably keep them around.

So there you have it, ladies. How'd I do?

Wowza!!! 5 items that sure does warrant browny points! Great going LL

Omg! Pucci blouse! I die.

I felt sorry for you when I saw the challenge, but you look great. I love the blouse.

I think you did great, LL! The ruffled trench totally works with a skirt and heels. I love a Pucci print! They all look like keepers to me.

WOW, love that blouse...great outfit!

Wow! Terrific! You look put together and interesting - I love that shirt!

Terrific! Not a random note in the outfit. The blouse is great. Well done!!

Oh, VERY well done! That blouse is lovely. And the jacket is very unique, I don't know you well enough to know if it contradicts your style, but it's a great statement coat.

OMG!!! This is terrific!! And 5 unworn items is exceeding expectations :). Well executed I say!

Kudos on making that work with five unworn items and looking so well put together! Can I say I especially love your nail polish with that blouse?

That blouse is sensational! Wow. And I really love how the trench tones it all down, as it were -- just the right amount for outdoor eyes! All these vintage items, yet it feels current and fun. You did very, very well.

Go you! I love how with the jacket on top the print just peeks out; I actually think it makes the outfit more about you & your face than about the blouse. So far from overwhelming you, I find the jacket works very well. It's a nice colour on you for sure.

Wowza! You look great! That blouse is amazing!

I am not a lover of the coat, though. I do think it overwhelms petite you.

Great outfit! Loving the ruffled trench and booties – you did SO good!

Good grief -- this looks anything but random! So good.

After having done this, do you feel you'll be more inclined to wear these pieces? I hope so. The blouse is particularly special (waiting for our mod-loving contingent to log in and faint...)

Congratulations on knocking your challenge out of the park! And now it's your turn to challenge someone else. The random number generator kicked out #51, which is Astrid. I'll PM Astrid and let her know she's up next, and whenever you're ready, go ahead and post the challenge in a new thread.

You certainly rose to the challenge! That blouse is to die for as it the silhoetter with the skirt and booties!!!

Wowza! That is fab!!!

You do deserve extra points for this challenge. Wow - 5 orphans combined in a single outstanding outfit!
I especially love the blouse (of course!) and the trench. Trench color is especially lovely with the blouse - I hope you are going to wear both of them again and again.
The booties are fab but I understand if you have bootie saturation and they just do not get to be worn. On the other hand they are pretty classic so maybe hold on to them for the time when other pair gets worn out?

You did great! Fantastic outfit. I can't wait to see what you come up with for my challenge.

Amazing blouse! I have a Pucci scarf and love the mod patterns. Your whole outfit looks very cohesive and I would never have guessed these were orphans. Great job! And the headless caption on your headless pic made me giggle!

LL, You did a wonderful job and deserve extra credit for the fifth piece. That blouse needs to come out and play more often. Untucked with skinny pants? And I just read that delicate jewelry is coming back. You look amazing!!!

I love your outfit! How fun. It looks great with the outerwear and bag too!

Woo, that was a tough challenge, and you nailed it!
I hope you will save some of these pieces from the orphanage now that you've tried them again. I adore the Pucci blouse and the trench. Super job- you look great!

Love your outfit - great job

Wow, you look great! I, too, love the blouse on you and hope you wear it more in the future. Way to rise to meet a challenge!

You look fab! I adore the blouse. It looks great with the other pieces, especially the trench. This is definitely an outfit worth repeating.

Good heavens! My high rotation clothing just got orphan envy from this outfit... I can't believe you pulled such a cohesive and beautiful outfit from lesser worn clothes. I am so impressed - you look beautiful!

I love everything about this.
