Sorry about yet another post on the topic of jeans.

These are the pairs that came home with me (but the tags are still on):

#1: Citizens of Humanity Racer low rise skinny in Renegade wash. I am finally getting on the distressed jeans bandwagon. In fact, distressed clothing seems to be everywhere at the moment -- it's not just jeans. I like these ones because the shredded bits are small, and the thigh holes are patched from the reverse side. So you get the slightly grungy look without the fear that your (@#&%ing expensive!) jeans will fall apart after two washes.

I know I said I was going to buy jeans in a more current silhouette (i.e. higher rise, looser leg) but dang it, these jeans just looked so good on that I couldn't resist. They are not quite so tight on me as on the model -- I sized up -- but they are still, unquestionably, skinny jeans. I feel like the distressing is a nod to the upcoming trends, even though the low rise and skinny silhouette has been mainstream for many seasons.

#2 Rag & Bone "The Dre" slim boyfriend jean in Bradford wash. These are definitely looser in the leg, although they still taper toward the bottom. They are not cropped on me. Even rolled up, they go right to my ankle. This is not unwelcome, though, since it means I can wear them with flats and not look stumpy. They fit really well and I like the colour and fading. They are more of a mid-rise on me than on the model, but the rise is not so high that it is unflattering.

What do you think? My main question is that I'm wondering if I should hold out for looser, more "boyfriendy" boyfriend jeans -- but these R&B "slim boyfriends" really do look good and are very comfortable. It's hard to take a pair of jeans back when they fit so well.
