Yet another hair discussion

I have a habit of getting my hair cut, regretting it, growing it out, getting frustrated, and getting it cut again. No real surprise, then, that I've done it yet again. I've posted before and after, and I could really use some honest feedback about what really is most flattering. Give it to me straight.

the before is perfectly nice, but the after is much more chic and stylish IMO. Fabulous!!!

I think your hair looks beautiful both ways. Do whatever feels best to you.

I just have to ask though: Do your bangs not bother you when they are in your eyes like that? They look fantastic, but whenever I try to wear mine that way, I just cannot stand it. There have been many times where I was dangerously close to grabbing a pair of scissors and just letting my instincts take over my common sense. I don't know if there is a secret or if it simply just doesn't bother you the way it bothers me.

Kyle, why do you get frustrated with your shorter do's? The second cut in this thread is fabulous. It looks more hip and polished than the longer version. You also look 10 years younger!

Maya: I'm used to long bangs, so generally they don't bother me. I've been known to pull out the scissors on occasion...

Sihaya: I'm skittish of going short and looking "old lady," plus I had just spent a lot of time growing it and was worried I made another mistake.

Angie: Do you remember my angst over the last short cut I had? It just flat out did not look good and I was really bummed out about how I looked. Short cuts are tricky. They can look fab and distinctive, or just as easily edge into dowdy territory. The cut, color and styling have to be spot on.

Well I saw Kyle today in person so I can vouch for how KILLER the haircut is. I love love love it.

(By the way, I realized that I forgot my camera USB cord at home so I won't be able to upload the pics of us until I get back to Chicago!)

I can also that Marianna is even more beautiful in person. What a knockout. She is also warm and lovely and gracious, and I enjoyed meeting her more than I can say. She and her fiancee make a fantastic couple.

Seriously? The AFTER is hands down the best. It's waaay more sleek, sophisticated, sassy, and stylish than BEFORE. The first one is more "flippy-dippy-AZ-cutesy," IYKWIM. I'm just sayin'...

I liked your hair before.

However...... When I saw your AFTER photo, I just thought wow Wow WOW!

And then, the strangest thing happened..... When I looked at your second after photo this song came to mind. (Sorry, but it happened, and I felt I must share.......)

Firstly, imagine following scene - Tom Jones with mike in hand in a pale blue suit, consisting of tight pants, white, tight shirt, young and virile (not old and arthritic), medallions and disco lights throbbing in the background. Then he starts to sing.......

"Sex bomb, sex bomb, you're da sex-bomb!" Tee-hee!

(I hope I haven't just horrified you! I actually really like Tom Jones)

Kyle, the after photos say it all; I love that cut on you because it goes so well with your chic, hip fashion sense and personality. And I say this as someone who has had the longer flippy 'do myself!

Kyle, I agree, short cuts ARE tricky, but this one is 100% dead on -- color, style, everything.

Before getting my hair cut super short, I had to find a stylist that I had no doubts about. Now I don't worry and just let her do her thing.

Kyle I like the shorter cut better because I think you have quite a small head and the longer cut created a bit much volume for your face. Before did look okay, it is only a comparison thing

Mind you when I clicked on your before picture I was rather distracted by your great dress. I had to go back to look at your hair!

You look great in both styles, Kyle - but the shorter cut has the Wow! factor for me. In fact, I am planning on cutting my bob into a similar style.

I like the after cut it really suits you makes you look younger! Im thinking to cut my hair to im sick of my hair.lol trying to let it grow and now i want to have a diff style.
