Yay/nay: Vacation pants

What do you think of these nylon/spandex pants? They fit better than the Athleta Primas on me. Do you think these will be orphaned after my vacation because they are too gearish or might they be sporty luxe with the right tops/footwear? Mahalo TIA!

These are like my favourite Lululemon pants - which oddly I have now mentioned twice here today. ABSOLUTELY wearable as part of a sporty-luxe look. Mine are black, and I wear them both as a functional / to and from yoga pant, and then dress them up with funkier footwear. Yours look great on you!

Is the fabric comfortable? If they're highly wearable (meaning comfortable, breathable--you want to wear them) for your climate, I do think you can work them into a sporty-luxe post-vacation capsule. Is the color "high summer" only for you, or can you work it into fall or hope to wear next spring?

Thanks so much! I ended up bringing both home but may return the grey/blue ones even though they match my shoes perfectly. The brand is Kyodan and I found them at Marshall's. (I haven't been able to find a link to them although I saw them on the Kyodan FB fan page--they are called the stretch woven capri.) The only down side is the white is fairly sheer--they will require nude underwear for sure. The fabric content is about 90/10 polyester/spandex so they are stretchy too. Not sure if static cling is going to be an issue but I'm sure they will be useful for vacations at least.

Kellygirl, I was eyeballing these in navy at TJ Maxx today but didn't have time to try them on! Is the fabric similar to the Primas? I love the white on you and even if they don't work into a sporty luxe capsule, wouldn't they be great for around the house or casual wear?

@Aubergine: Yes, it is a cat astronaut. He’s actually following a rocket while holding a ball of yarn. Two of my favorite things--cats and yarn!

@Aquamarine: Thanks! Keep in mind I’m only 5’3” they might be knee pants on someone taller

@pil: Ooh, navy is awesome! The fabric is very similar to the Primas--except that these have a striped pattern on them (but still all white.)

They look great! I love the white ones too, I'd definitely keep those if you want only one pair. Nevermind the other ones matching the shoes, I actually like them better with the white pair that match the white soles.

Totally love the white pair, that whole look in #1 is actually great. Top in #2 is tooooo fun! I think the second pair could be dressed up too, it'll just take a bit more work since it doesn't have the inherent dressiness that white does.
