Yay or Nay: Oxblood Blazer with Rolled Up Sleeves ETA -Open, Next Size

Hello, virtual shopping buddies... what do you think of this Blazer? If you like it, how would you style it?

Now that I'm looking at those pictures, I'm thinking I should size up...

ETA Pics 4-8. Unfortunately the M is too snug with sleeves underneath, but the L is too big. If it goes on sale I may pick it up to wear open or with sleeveless tops, but otherwise I will have to pass Too bad, I like the cut.

1-4: Size M, 1-3 with a sleeveless top underneath, 4 with a longer sleeved top
4-8: Size M, with a longer sleeved top underneath

great color...looks plummy. like the high-low. how does it feel in the shoulders? how about it unbuttoned?

To me it looks like a perfect fit. No gaping, closes perfectly in the front, shoulder lines seem to fall directly on your own. But if you want to wear over a heavier top, or the armholes are too snug, then you could try a larger size. Then you just have to see what you prefer.

I'd try one size up to see....the shoulders look on the edge here? It's really nice on you, though, and if it feels good and you plan to wear it open, maybe this is not a deal-breaker if the next size up feels too boxy.

Color is great, style is flattering on you.

I would try the next size up just to see how it fits, especially if you plan to layer under it. It looks a touch snug in the shoulders, and that will make it very uncomfortable the longer you wear it.

Thanks all I think I will nip out to the mall after work and snap some pix of the larger size and open. In general I preferred the look closed when I tried this on the first time. I am wearing a thinner shell underneath in the picture, probably I should try it over something with sleeves...

The shoulders felt a little restrictive, but all jackets will do that at least a bit, right? When I took the over the shoulder mirror back shot I didn't feel like I was going to bust a seam, but it wasn't as easy as in a cardigan. I just have one jacket currently so I'm not very familiar with what a correct fit feels like.

What a gorgeous colour on you and I love the shape of the jacket. I would try the next size up too for comparison. To me, it's the shoulder fit that is the most important in a jacket.
