Yay or nay blue jumper

I popped into the lovely Club Monaco store at lunch time today and saw this jumper. Beautiful cashmere, a shorter length and a lovely blue hue. I wondered what you thought.

I’m wearing culottes in the picture and if it was given a new home by me, I’d wear it with a similar pair I wear at the weekend, or with jeans, or with may be with my velvet green pleated skirt.

It’s definitely a winter jumper though so I’d get limited wear in the coming month.

I’d really appreciate your views.

Oh my goodness. YAY. Dainty shoulders were made to wear jumpers like this, Jane. LOVE the '80s vibe, and the colour is gorgeous with your complexion. Nice and trendy too.

I like the puffed sleeves, the fact that it comes in a bit at the waist, and the colour is gorgeous.
I’m a bit concerned about whether the waistband lies flat or not, as it is turned under in the photo.

It's lovely! I got a red merino sweater from CM in the fall that is a bit similar -- the detail is in the sleeve vs. the shoulder but the effect is reminiscent. I enjoy it.

Thank you Angie. I was slightly concerned there might be too much bulk in the shoulders, but it is good to balance out my pear shape.

Thank you Smittie, I think you could be right, it does curve up a bit. I will take a good look at it if / when I go back.

It is very lovely jumper, but out of my normal price range for weekend clothes. This is why I am hesitating.

I went to see the jumper after work yesterday and realised the price was much more than I had expected (I hadn't put my specs on when I looked at it previously!).

So I am still deliberating. The good news is that the jumper was still there though.

Phew, made a decision. I have bought the jumper, and I am super pleased with it.

The photos aren't as good as the ones in the fitting rooms earlier this week, but here I am wearing it, as it is snowing (again!) and it is nice to feel cosy. I am wearing it with some wide leg jeans.

When I looked at the first pic, I wasn't sure. My gut told me that such a garment would never work for my big shoulders. The second picture convinced me that that garment works well for you, and it made me smile very big at how much I like it on you!
