Sweet! How long did you live in Paris? I have never been abroad, but I have this romantic vision of Europe. It must be from photos and books I've read--but I picture a life without a car, which would bring you closer to your neighbors and neighborhood. Stopping in at local markets, instead of a chain grocery store, and buying fresh produce and bakery items from a stand on a sidewalk. My husband and I talk about the day our children are out on their own, and we will hopefully move to a location where we are not dependent on cars and can feel more connected to our enviornment.
BTW, my dad is french, but he's Canadian...and I do love to garden--which I picked up from my dad. You should see his gardens! Maybe I'll take some photos of them and share them here.
