XS Petite velvet bomber for the win?!

XS Petite is photo number 1. I feel like this is the winner? It's still comfortable - I can stretch my arms and zip it (though I don't think I ever would wear it closed personally...) and it looks less bulky to me?

S Petite is photo 2 for reference. I put my finger out so I wouldn't forget which is which, haha.

I just threw it over what I'm wearing today as I'm headed out the door. So bonus WIW shot!

Flatform ruffle sandals : Suecomma Bonnie (these were from Nordstrom, but sold out now)

I actually like the bigger size here because it has more slouch to it and I think bombers should be looser. But that's my preference. This is lovely on you!

I think they both LOOK great. I agree with Lisa that there is a little extra room, and length, in the S, and my preference is slightly for the XS. I think bombers are trending a little longer these days, but that may not be what you're after. Especially if you want to wear it with a jumpsuit like this or with that very cool and pretty slip dress.

I prefer the S in the photos, actually, Nicole. The XS doesn't drape as well because of the lack of volume. The silhouette needs some slouch.

I like them both, with slightly different vibe. XS looks sleeker, and S more slouchy-cool. I also think you should get that velvet tee

I think both the S and XS would work. I have a slight preference for the the slouch of the S but the more fitted XS also looks good. If you keep the XS, make sure the sleeves will fit over all the other things you might wear (sweaters, sweatshirts etc).

Really, you can't go wrong with either size.

Thank you so much for your help, everyone! Who knew velvet bomber jacket sizing would be this perplexing to me, lol! After reading through all the thoughts I'm going to keep the Petite Small. Slouchy cool sounds like the look I'm after!

Angie, I swear I had a few tops just like that in 7-8th grade. I didn't keep them though, so perhaps it's time to revisit the trend. thank you for the suggestion!

I think the Small is the right choice, it is tough though, as both totally work! The small is just more of the current aesthetic. Looks very much like on the model.

Angie, that crushed velour tee is awesome. *chuckles* .. the first guy I ever loved, our first date, in high school in the early 80s ... I wore a cranberry velour top the day we met. Every time I see velour I am transported backward to that time.
