WTW (Tomorrow) Help Me Decide!

I've got a short end-of-semester teaching day tomorrow. I've been experimenting with my new H&M sweater skirt. My DD thought I should post some options and have you choose! Note: I'm exhausted, and I didn't choose accessories! Also -- the "grinning" is mostly due to flash -- this skirt is self-lined, but the lining is a little shorter. It doesn't show in daylight.

1. A playful mix, this one might be better for MOTG than teaching, but it's dressier than most in my workplace

H&M Skirt
Target (Merona) sweater -- tied, because I don't like the fit when worn traditionally
Shoes: Gray croc-patent shoes (Naturalizer) and Nude patent ballet flats
Which ones work best? I do have some wedge sandals in metallic gray

Croft and Barrow (Kohls) chambray jacket
AT Loft T -- has elastic at neck and, unfortunately, and sleeveless armhole. This isn't floral, but is actually a brushtroke print with some green in it
Nude patent ballet flats (Kohls)

Carson Pririe Scott Ikat shell
Gray croc-patent shoes
This is the most serious "corporate" look

4.

Old Silky shell
White linen-like Anorak
Nude patent flats (could also wear my new nude wedges)

5-8 Additional outfits with this skirt that I don't plan on wearing tomorrow, plus a closeup. I almost didn't buy this skirt, because I thought it wouldn't be versatile enough. Hee. Thanks, YLF for the new mixing skills! I bet I can find 3 or 4 more!

Beth, 3 is my *absolute* favorite - the cool purply colors of the chambray jacket and the ikat shell look beautiful together, and I like the subtle pattern/texture mix between the skirt, the top, and the shoes. Very sophisticated and polished, but the chambray and low heels make it not look too upscale/dressy. I'd wear that outfit in a heartbeat.

I like 3 and 7 - that jacket shape in 7 is so flattering on you!

All are pretty but I vote #2, #3 #6 and #7 from a teaching standpoint. These are all pretty, fresh and interesting but chic and still approachable.

That is an AWESOME skirt! My favorites are #1 with black shoes and 7, but I like them all. Love you in color!

3 and 6 are my favorites but 3 in a big lead. I also like 7. This will obviously be a versatile skirt for you - it's funny when we have something like that, it goes with so much that it makes it hard to decide

I vote 3. I like the ikat shell with the blazer. Nicely styled!

Looks like #3 is in the lead. I love #7, but since we'll be in the 80's tomorrow, the heavier jacket isn't as good a choice.

Yes, Kari, I'm enjoying playing with textures. I've always been timid about this in the past, but YLF is helping me go beyond "safe" while staying approachable. It's no secret that I love color!

Christianne -- You've touched on a central issue for me. Now that my closet items play so well together (thanks YLF), I have a harder time than ever making a decision! On the plus side, I don't have to "settle" or feel limited and bored. These are far worse than staring into a closet that, for the first time, is actually full of outfits that work. I've got a long way to go, but now I can see the prize, and I'm moving forward!

You look so pretty and what a great new skirt! I like 1 and 3 best. And, I prefer the black ballet flats/pumps to the nude ones. They provide nice bookending with the skirt and your hair.

Before reading anyone else, I picked #3. Actually that skirt plays nicely with everything, but I am so partial to tonal outfits and that's why I'm drawn to #3!

I think #1 is my favorite as well. This skirt would also be fun with a bold black and white (or cream) print shell. Do you have anything like that? With your coloring I would just love black, cream and a small dose of scarlet. I love the texture the skirt adds to all the outfits.

I've said it before, but it's worth repeating, that jacket in #7 fits you beautifully!

3 is my favourite too! A lot of visual interest that pops all the better for being in subdued toning colours. 2 is a very close second.

Adore 6 and 7 too --- you always wear dark pinks so well, but I'm quite amazed at how well this skirt works with so many different lengths and silhouettes of toppers! It was a great find, for sure.
