WTW to a baby shower tomorrow?

I have a baby shower to attend tomorrow. I suspect it will be a pretty casual affair, knowing the couple (who are pretty down to earth, granola-ey types, and their friends - both men and women are invited as well). Most of the things I can think of seem too overdressed (and also kind of dark and not very baby shower appropriate in my head), but on the other hand jeans seems too casual (although I'm sure some will be wearing them).

At first I thought maybe my new handknit aran sweater and my striped knit skirt or some black pants, but I think the sweater will be too warm (the party is at someone's house with a lot of people in a small space and I'm always too warm at this kind of thing).

My second thought was maybe this dress, with tights or leggings, and my red Fluevog booties? Or maybe my "Vertigo" outfit with the addition of tights and maybe some more sedate boots?

Any other suggestions would be welcome too!

Or maybe something with these trousers? Is this outfit too casual? I could do a jacket instead of the cardigan.

I think the dress would be great with tights. Have fun!

I like the trouser outfit the best for this sort of thing - looks comfy and fun, works well for squatting, sitting, 'games', can remove top layer if too hot without diminishing outfit and will also work if you have to remove shoes indoors.

Elpgal, that was my thought too. Although I really hope there are no games. I hate shower games.

Do you think the cardigan is OK, or should I go for a blazer? I could wear my fuchsia one for a pop of color.

I always enjoyed painting the onesies or writing notes to the potential person type of stuff but have a low tolerance for the diaper doody or their ilk. Fuschia would be lovely as well but the playful vibe of this cardi seems context appropriate.

Yeah, i don't mind the more crafty things. I think since there are men invited it will be more toned down.

I guess I will decide on cardigan vs. jacket in the morning. The fuchsia jacket is knit so not too severe.

I was in this situation last month. Most everyone wore dressy jeans with flats. I wore a skirt because I equate skirts with baby showers for some reason. Anyway, I like the idea of the fuschia top with a skirt or pants. Have fun!

Another vote for the pants and floral blouse and cute reddish boots -so pretty. I think either the light green cardigan or fuchsia jacket would work but I'd probably lean towards the brighter fuchsia.

I like the black and white skirt outfit! Don't be too stressed about being dressed up more than other people. Never apologize for looking good.

I was going to vote for the trouser outfit (the dress is my 2nd choice) I think the cardi is fine, but pink jacket sounds nice too. I love the floral top and the shoe choice.

I think any of these would be a good choice, although I like the first two just because they are more dressy.
