Wrap dress, yay or nay?

I’m doing research for a brand and find that wrap dress is considered one of the must have fashion item, do you agree? So you own any? I know DVF got famous for the wrap dress alone which is fascinating.. thanks ladies

i dont think there are ANY fashion must haves....must haves are highly individual and totally dependant on lifestyle.....
for me personally, owning 1 or 2 dresses is more than enough, and a wrap dress would not be a must...all that being said, i own 1 that is now approx 20 years old, left over from a time when business formal was part of my work dress code, but its been 15 years or so since i've actually worn it

Iconic yes, must-have no. A very stylish friend of mine feels she can’t wear them as a tall thin rectangle.

I agree that nothing is a must have. It's all lifestyle dependent. But, I've been seeing more of them lately with the resurgence of wrap tops and skirts.

I love wrap dresses but may not wear them in the most traditional way. I wear mine over jeans and often with a cami as well. I have a fair collection, and would say it is one of my wardrobe essentials. I’m not sure about it being a must have fashion item. No one else I know wears them, perhaps making me an exception......

I have a couple but they’re definitely not essentials. I find them a bit fussy.

Wrap dresses can be very flattering on many people, but they naturally lie too low in the chest for me. I have to wear a camisole and that changes how the top lies, which makes it not worth it for me.

And as for "must have" lists? Ridiculous. Wardrobe musts are based on the individual, their lifestyle and their preferences. I don't own most of what's on 'must have" lists because I'd never wear those things.
