My coat is indeed sold out in my size on the site now. Good to know it wasn't just a ploy.

And so as not to take up more space on the board with my Burberry angst, thank you all for patiently and thoughtfully commenting - it is so helpful. I hope no one ever feels they can't say something for fear of spoiling the fun. I value every single opinion here deeply and take it all in without hurt feelings, I promise!

Whatever happens, I got to try on this amazing coat - an experience well worth the learning in itself!

Una, your last statement sounds so bittersweet. I hope this doesn't mean you've already decided to return the coat. I refrained from commenting on your "reveal" thread because this is an item on which I don't feel I can offer any meaningful critique. It is completely out of my realm with regard to price, fashion style and life style. Ultimately only *you* can (and should) make the decision to keep or return. I do hope that if you love it as much as I think you do, you will keep it and savor each and every wearing!

Bionda, not bittersweet but thanks for being so kind. I have not decided against this coat at all - I'm pondering lots of things and wanting the CA YLF contingent to see it in person. I am curious as to what it means if I keep an item that so many find less than killer - does that say I have learned nothing here at YLF? And that is asked with genuine reflection - no sorrow or bitterness whatsoever!

If you love that coat and feel amazing in it, then the fact that not everybody loves it on you as much as you love it on yourself should absolutely take a back seat! And you should pat yourself on the back for learning the number one rule so well!!
