Would you guys still love me if I bought a Spirit Hood?

Cause Target has some knock off ones right now and they are lookin pretty cute. I'd wear more than just a bodysuit with mine though...or would I???

Do you get to pick which ears you want? Bear, fox, bunny? I'm whimsical at heart so I'd probably hug you if I came upon you wearing one!

I don't know, I feel like I am too old to give any kind of honest opinion on this. Can you refresh my memory, how old are your kids? You want to look cute and young and fun but they have to respect that you are the voice of authority. You are not one of them. You are not their friend. You are mom and you are in charge. There is a hierarchy and you (and maybe your partner?) are at the top or the house falls apart. This spirit hood would not fly with teenagers in the house.

I passed it up for now. :-/ I decided there are more "serious" purchases I want to save my $ for at the moment.

My son is 5. I don't think I'd be wearing it when we were out running errands together or school. More like around the house or a coffee/post office run.

My husband and I often joke that we don't think our personalities will ever fully qualify as "grown up" (example my living room has black & white anime style art on the walls and my couch pillows have seahorses on them). But my son still knows who the bosses are.

If you're gonna go with the hat with ears, get one that's a little bit practical. I have one a friend made with cat ears that is knit wool, and great for skiing. At least everyone can recognize me on the slopes, anyway!

And I totally have some plans to knit up some cutesy hats this year! One with bear ears up top and another that has ear muffs in the shape of hearts. I'm just finishing up on a scarf for the hubby that has pockets at the ends with skulls on them.

It doesn't say stereotypical young adult with kids 27-year-old with a 5-year-old, but neither do a lot of the things you seem drawn to. Still, you are adorable (literally cute) and have a fun personality --- so I wouldn't say you are "Mommy-dressed-as-sitter" either. If constantly being mistaken for being much younger than you are doesn't bother you, you might as well enjoy it. You could pull it off, even though I personally wouldn't if I was in your shoes.

I wasn't ever going to post about these hats, but I really do love them and mine is a cherished gift from my boyfriend. I don't wear it much, but it makes appearances at Trader Joe's every once in a while.

Is it silly? Yes... Is it appropriate for a 27 year old? Probably not. Does it make my heart sing? Absolutely! So I wear it. Check out my temp profile pic (since I can't add a pic to a real time post.

Needless to say, I think you should go for it! You have a quirky and fun sense of style, and I think this would suit you

My brother bought me a bear/scarf hat kinda like that, only it's more like having a little kid's stuffed lovey on my head. I do wear it, actually, because I'm a nut. He says it's the sense of irony I radiate that allows me to wear these things...
