would you buy 2 pairs of exact same shoes?

I have a pair of shoes from Cole Haan that I LOVE and they fit perfectly, very comfortable and have great support. I have actually considered getting same style in different color but their color options were limited. So, would you buy exact same pair again? My reasoning is-I have very hard time finding shoes that fit right and have sufficient support so once the pair I have will wear off it will go off again for exausting search for comfortable pair. Shoe shopping is not a fan event for me. So, what do you think?

For sure! Heck, I own 3 pairs of my favourite shoes that I wear all the time - hanging out, to class, to formal events etc. My feet like to complain, so if I find really comfy shoes that look awesome, why not get 2?

I find myself wishing I'd done that time and again. I *do* love shoe shopping, but when perfect pairs die I sure do wish I could pull out a carbon copy. My problem is I don't ever know which pair will be the pair I wear until it dies and want another one. If you have a handle on that, do it, I think.

It makes sense if you have fit/comfort issues. Who knows, by the time your perfect pair wears out they may have discontinued the style.

You absolutely should! I regret that I don't often enough and then it's too late to get it in my choice of color or size. But the once I did buy 2 together, I patted myself on the back for 4 years, as long as they lasted combined as I wore them ALL the time!

I do this most often with shoes I wear every day. That way I can wear one pair while the other pair airs out. I have bunions on my feet, and have to be comfortable. When I find shoes my feet feel good in all day long, it just makes sense to buy more than one pair. I don't usually buy two of the same color, though.

Absolutely! I have a pair of wedges under my desk right now that have a twin residing in my home closet. They are the perfect heel height, have a super adaptable almond toe, are durable black pebbled leather, and are comfy for anything but the longest hikes. Duplicating a perfect shoe makes a lot of sense to me! Honestly, when I duplicate with two different colors I sometimes think that I'd have been much better served to just buy two identical pairs of the same color!

Yep. I own a suede wedge bootie in grey and black because it's the perfect height, fits well, and looks sleek. (-: If it hadn't come in grey I probably would have considered buying the black twice because it's suede...

Big yes. I have the same pumps for work in 5 different colors, at least. I have never found a pair as walkable as these. I'm glad I got them in so many colors.

Are the first ones old?
Are you buying the exact same shoe in both color and style? If yes, I really don't see the point of buying the exact same shoe, unless you are replacing an old one. Good shoes do last a long time and Cole Haan is a really good brand. By the time the first ones are done, your taste might be different or you could get bored of the same thing. I vote don't buy unless you are replacing the first pair or you are buying another color.

I do it but usually a different colour. I have 3 pairs of shoes in 2 colors, if that makes sense

YES! I do wish I had bought two pairs of my Stuart Weitzman leopard sneakers. They are four years old now and are priceless and I know one day soon they will fall apart.

Not the exact color and style at the exact time, but I won't do that with staple tops or bras or whatever either. Now, the same style in other colors I certainly would!

I've done it, though not the same colour. I bought two pairs of the same heeled oxfords last fall, one in brown and one in black.

In terms of duplicating in the same colour - they'd have to be some seriously good shoes, and I'd also have to feel like they were a wardrobe workhorse, so to speak, and possibly in danger of wearing out, being discontinued etc. I can't say I've bought the exact same shoe in the same colour (yet!). That said, I have done this with jeans, so am not sure why it would be that much different for shoes.

Zapotee and velvetychocolate:actually, these shoes would be same color as my old ones(exactly the same shoes).they are perfect in every way and go with everything in my wardrobe-skirts, pants, jeans, shorts, you name it. So yes, I think it may be worth buying second pair

I did this once with a favorite, frequently worn pair of shoes. Found a duplicate at Nordstrom Rack and snagged them for when the first pair wore out. Worked out great.

I've bought 3 pairs of the exact same pewter flats because they are so cute and comfortable. I wear them for 12 hour days 3 or more times a week, especially in the spring through summer but they see action all year plus being the go to pair for trips and city walking. I'd consider a 4th pair.

Yes. Shoes that are comfortable and stylish and fit your wardrobe are very hard to find.

But I have learned that it does not pay to buy the same shoe in a different color. Buy the same color that you've loved so far.

Ok, I would not personally do it, but it does make sense given how hard it is for you to find shoes. I have bought identical shoes in the past but only because the ones I have are already close to retirement. Are you putting both pairs on rotation or are you saving the second pair as replacement for when the first ones bite the dust?
