Would this be flattering?

Hello everyone!

I have been thinking of buying a puffer coat in a dark neutral color other than gray or black, and I have been thinking of this one: http://www.auctiva.com/hostedi.....8;format=0

However, I'm not sure if the bottom ruffle would look flattering? Would it make it look like my hips are huge? The color is something I'm looking for, and I wish I could try it on.

Does anyone have any experience with how this shape would generally look on the body? I know there's a model for reference, but stock photos can look much different from real life!

I prefer a more straight silhouette myself, but it is cool that it is
not the typical black puffer coat!

I'm not sure about the bottom ruffle either. it seems it will call the attention to the hips.
There are others more flattering like the ones on the pictures

i think it could, but it would really depend on where on you it hit…its really a peplum

What a fun coat! I think this would require some height to make the silhouette look intentional and stylish, if not traditionally "flattering." If you love it, and the return policy is good, I'd say you won't know till you see it on. There are, like Rute says, a lot of options out there right now.

It's one of those things that might look great or might really not. I think you have to try it. It does appear "weighted" at the bottom, which might be a good thing depending on your body shape and how much you want to emphasize your bottom half.
