I think so, but depends on how sweaty/clammy you get. My worry would be more about keeping them nice and clear - same reason I'm not into the clear handbags I've seen around.

For an all-day shoe, I do fear these might get a little too sweaty. But they sure look rainproof enough!

don't you have rubber hunters? how do you deal with those, because i can't?

I suspect that they might be like Hunter Boots. Maybe those ladies should chime in, they are both predominately plastic material.

I do have Hunters, but I pretty much reserve them for commuting.

ETA The Hunters don't really hug the calf like I'd suspect these would.

I think I would sweat horrifically in these. I wonder if they have so etching to keep you from getting stinky feet from perspiration.

Hm, it says "leather and vinyl upper and lining." The leather could *potentially* let enough water vapor escape if they mean that the foot part is leather? I can't tell on my monitor if the bottom is shiny leather, patent leather, or vinyl.

I wear Hunters & Coach rain boots in LA & I don't feel sweaty. I wear thick smart wool socks for warmth so maybe they wick away the sweat.

The concept is too cool. I have worn my hunter (Ilse Jacobsen actually) boots on a long walk in the woods and not sweated too much. SUmmer temperatures are about the same here.

By the way, I was in the local shop yesterday that carries lots of Acne, and Designers Remix, Malene Birger ..basically Scandanavian designers. I saw so much that you would just love I think. Almost a shame you don't live here.

I can see why you are tempted. I love them. The description says they are a combination of vinyl and leather. I wonder where they are leather.
