Would like new sandals just like old ones! (Australian emphasis)

I like everything about my sandals; the red colour, the slight heel, padded sole and the v in front. But they have worn out. And now with the Australian summer looming, I need some more sandals. I would happily buy them again, but have to consider other alternatives. I can compromise on the colour (nude, brown or metallic might be okay) but I can't do
-slingbacks
-any higher than 1 inch heels (these will be my one everyday sandal for summer)
-anything between the toes (so no thong type shoes)
-over $80

I have searched the 5 shoe shops in my town to no avail.

Please Aussies, if you see anything that meets my criteria on your shopping trips, let me know! I am in the city in a few weeks, and while I'll have little time, I might managed a focus shop with your help

Anne, I know how hard it can be to part with a beloved pair of sandals! I only have a few minutes, but how about something like these? The heel height looks about the same and they have a padded sole.

Have you tried looking on eBay? You can narrow your searches and even just check out the 'buy it now' options.....good luck!

Anne have you looked at Rivers? My girlfriend just picked up some very comfortable and smart looking sandals recently. Have you checked out the current Diana Ferrari range?

I have checked out my local Rivers clearance store ( and should keep doing so) but hadn't yet found anything. I'll have a look online.

The red sandals were diana ferrari actually. I have had a look at the website, but nothing springs out - and the prices are too high. I bought mine at an outlet store.

Anne - I'll keep my eyes out - but I haven't seen much around that looks like this so far this year - everything is gladiator style at the moment that I've seen.

Thanks Imogen - I really appreciate that. I don't think gladiator styles are very flattering on short legged girls like myself
