@Diana True, I can't tell if that's the sheen of the rayon. Only one way to find out!
@rachylou Surprisingly enough, the original was actually a charity shop find from a cheap brand (Primark). Not sure if holding out for a similarly high low pussybow blouse is sensible (I've yet to see another, even at higher prices!)
@Gigi Hopefully putting two breathable fabrics together will result in a still breathable piece of clothing, rather than cancelling each other out - maths was never my forte! Pussybow blouses were everywhere a few years back, but it's been slim pickings for a while. This one isn't quite as long in the back as my old version, but I think I'll be waiting a while for that style to (ever) come back!
@JenniNZ Yes I'm trying to weigh up the CPW (Cost Per Wear) of the top. I've been without my old version of this top for a while now &, whilst I'm still surviving without it, similar orange blouses I've bought in the meanwhile have never been quite right. So my hesitation isn't helped by the guilt I feel over those 'almost there' purchases.
I think that, despite the slightly shorter back length, the new top has a long enough curved hem to look flattering tucked in or out. I'll have to risk the international delivery fees to be able to try it on before the season continues & it starts selling out - after I get my next pay cheque though, of course! Gulp!
