Earlier this year I posted about pencil skirts, and mentioned that I had a mind to add one to my closet. Deciding that such a thing is a classic, I figured I’d ‘invest’ in something with longevity - ie. a leather one! Remembering how versatile and fun my green faux leather pants had been, I figured a coloured skirt would be more fun-per-wear than a traditional neutral. Enter the new-to-me eggplant leather pencil skirt in excellent condition - thrifted for $28CAD!

Prior to dressing for Bridge night, I did a quick styling session/workshop. Here are some of the results.

#1 WIW to Bridge night - because it was cold! The wool sweater is new (thrifted) and the shoes are too! I’ve had leopard footwear on my list for a while, and Naturalizer footwear can be worn out-of-the box.

#2 works, but could be better. The light colour in the sweater is beige, but I think my yellow sling-backs would look better. Also, tucking the sweater?

#3 this white button down is another thrifted find - and possibly the best white button down I’ve ever owned. The fabric is divine! I would wear this to meet with lawyers

#4+5 the ‘top’ is the same reversible dress thrifted a couple of years ago. #6 is something I had saved in Pinterest and inspo for #5. I will absolutely wear these combos this summer!

I also styled the skirt with a black wool sweater and a black sleeveless turtleneck top - and the black dress shoes, but it felt ‘meh’. I forgot to try the black mesh T. Maybe with the leopard shoes?
