Thanks the cat. I found that too, and it doesn't ring huge alarm bells except that it does say that the volume isn't high. I couldn't find any online reviews which is unusual, and was hoping someone here had used it. Maybe not!

Have also found it on Amazon fashion. I presume that's more legit? I feel a bit at sea, don't offer order online apart from in Australia or known names like Boden

I don’t think I’d order from them. At the bottom of their site they visibly list ‘web key words.’ That’s a bad sign. That’s somebody sitting in a tin shack in a shanty town.

Yes, you are correct I was talking about the wonderland site. Amazon is more legit. But I’d be wary still of their third party sellers.

I’d treat items sold on Amazon’s third party marketplace with the same skepticism and fine-toothed comb as you would a seller on eBay. Look at their feedback In detail (including whether the feedback seems legit or generic and made up.) Based on what I’m hearing I would not risk it with this seller.

This looks suspicious to me. It appears to be an Ecco discount store, but "Ecco" doesn't appear in the company name, as it would if it were an outlet. I'm guessing that the items are counterfeit. I wouldn't risk it.

On my browser I don't see the key words at the bottom of the page that Rachy mentioned.

Gigi, Rachy and Kari - thanks. I'm so grateful for your input. You've helped flesh out with details my vague feelings of unease.

I'll either take a put with buying a little larger than my size (which is what I normally do anyway) or look for a different style - this whole problem arose because a shop assistant said I should buy a size 36 not 37 - and they are quite hard to source.
