Interesting read. Honestly IRL other want skorts, i can’t remember the last time I saw anyone in a skirt. As more and more of the Asian students return I am seeing lots of full cropped pants that look like a skirt.

@ kkards - I have only 3 skirts on my Pinterest board, and what you describe is the 3rd photo saved (see below).

(#1 is a red pleated skirt with a graphic t, and #2 is the slip skirt posted above. The bulk of my 50+/- Style Inspo posts are pants or shorts.)

Now you mention it l don’t actually see a lot of people wearing skirts these days.Trousers, shorts, jeans and dresses but not a lot of skirts. The only person l see consistently in a skirt is my mother(88) in a long denim a line and a friend who always wears a stretchy black slim fit maxi skirt.l cannot recall anyone else wearing one recently including myself.

I am wearing a lot more flowy culottes these days than skirts...though I still adore my midi skirts. I also gather warm, woolen pencil skirts from thrift stores, and wear them in winter with slouchy graphic sweatshirts or oversize cardigans and doc-style boots...

Lots of skirts here. Few minis. Many midis, midaxis and maxis. A multitude of styles, colours and patterns.

uhm, may be wrong but I am starting to see quite a lot of pencil skirts. I guess there is suitable body shape for them but certainly not me!

I seldom wear miniskirts, but I've found midi cargo skirts are trending this season. I especially like Sacai's designs.

I'm wearing many types of skirts: knee length and midi tube (less than I used to but still there), flowy midi and maxi, wrap skirts (problematic tbh), skorts (not for work), and hi low. Maybe not all so trendy but idc- I looove skirts!

Was just cruising along till hit wwyyss’s bubble cargo skirt. Right up my alley. Utilitarian and pockets for days. Styling for the apocalypse.
Well, now I know what to look for.
One of the sticky points about being 5 feet tall is getting a skirt in a midi length. Pleats cannot be shortened, so they are out.
Here, near Dallas, its all over the map on styles. Lots of very tight and short and bright. Spandex is queen.
A few newscasters are going a-line flared and architectural.
Oddly, no one is wearing denim skirts unless it is very mini.
