The title is something of a misnomer, because I want both.
I've been channeling Bridgette Raes blog lately and really like her take on things. In one post she describes herself more of a solution-person than pure fashion person and describes the hard work of attaining a workable wardrobe.

I like Angie's approach that shows a love of fashion but also gives instructions about how to be hard-nosed about choices--(PPP's !). Both of these blogger's "speak to me" more than some others.

We talk a lot about buying only things we "love," and I still think that's quite valid. But it of course doesn't mean buying everything we love.

I'm trying to get more picky and disciplined about how workable an item or outfit is. If I had to choose, I'd like my wardrobe to be more workable even at the expense of being somewhat less fashion-forward. But of course what I really want is the right mix.

Do you feel that if you "love" an item enough it will automatically earn its keep in your wardrobe, or are you more practical? It can also be re-defining the meaning of a lovable item--the more sense and use it has for lifestyle and wardrobe needs, the more lovable it can be!
