That's exactly how we're feeling in Winnipeg Angie - it's been a horrible June. Nothing but rain, rain and more rain with a bit of cold tossed in for good measure. Rain again today and tomorrow and then apparently we're heading for warmth and sunshine. We'll be joining your happiness soon!

Does this mean all Seattleites will be running outdoors in their knickers???

Hope everyone enjoys it! My Mom's been saying that in Vancouver it's been pretty dreary ...apparently they're on for the coolest/wettest June ever.

Some sunshine and summer-"ish" temperatures sounds much-needed for everyone in the Pacific Northwest.

In the meantime, I was relieved that the temperatures dropped to 85F yesterday (from 98 the previous two days) in Salt Lake. Ack! I'm not cut out for super-hot summer weather.

That was funny TS! Giggling away here. In places like Vancouver (and I'm sure Seattle too), there's hardly even a chance to wear shorts and sandals in the summer. I think 'summer' lasts about three or four weeks. If it gets to 75F, it's a heat wave.

It's supposed to be 80 in Portland today after days of rain! It's still a bit grey this morning but I'm dressing on faith: linen slacks and sandals.

Can a UK resident chip in and say I know exactly what Angie means about dreadful spring, we had unseasonably warm weather for a couple of weeks in March, how weird?
Since then its been rain, rain, rain. Then the last couple of days it's been fab, I have sandals on! YEAY!

VC, when it's over 85 degrees here - it's usually called a heatwave. 75 to 80 in the Summertime with clear sunny skies is normal for Seattle. No humidity.

On that note, please send over some humidity too. My skin LOVES humidity.

We had some 80plus temps here over the weekend but it seems to have leveled out to mid 70s. I remember when I lived in Olympia that any sunny day over 60 was shorts weather. You just get so thrilled to see the sun and blue skies lol.

Like Laura we are living through a heat wave week now (complete with warning from health Canada to stay indoors if possible) so I envy your 23 C. 33C three days in a row makes me really miserable! I also would not mind a bit of a rain and cooler temps...
Even my kittens don't want to goof around in this heat and just laying there on the cool tile floor...
Oh, and on the top of this we have a (mandatory) golf tournament at work tomorrow - in 33C heat! I shudder in advance...

Glad you are enjoying your heat wave! I'm getting a big chuckle out of your "summer" weather in the mid-70's as we swelter through the mid-90's. SO envious and wishing I lived in Seattle, too.

The humidity might be great for our skin, but it's tough on the rest of our bodies. It's sweat central here in the mid-Atlantic this week.

YES it is just beautiful out!! I didn't think it'd actually get quite that warm up in Everett but it did and I am somewhat regretting wearing a (lightweight) jacket today. But only slightly because I'm headed out to a baseball game in the evening, and the weather should be perfect. Tomorrow, we brew beer! I hope the weekend rain blows awaaayyyyyy.

I am truly envious. Cool weather is definitely better for me, but we've had a very warm spring and lately it has been in the mid to high 90's with some places reaching over 100 degrees F. No rain, and things are so dry that all things green are struggling or already dead. And if this is how warm things will be in the spring and early summer here, I shudder to think of how awful things will be at the end of July and through August.

Enjoy your nice weather! When our "cold front" finally moves through, we're expected to dip into the mid-80's. Better than today, but oh, how I envy temperatures in the 70's (or 60's or even 50's)!

I was so happy! I've given up checking the weather forecast at all because frankly it was depressing me to see day after day of rain. Then today B. was putting on a short-sleeved shirt, and I was shocked when he told me it would be sunny.

I wore sandals to work for the first time this year. I forgot that this was what my toes looked like!

In the heatwave too -- 38C with humidex. I was supposed to be out in the field this week on a dig, but I am kind of glad to be in the lab instead working on some collections! Although, the air conditioning was broken so it was 29C in my lab yesterday. Today it's fixed and 22C in here and I am freezing!

Going outside is going to be a rude shock after work.
