Even though it is late summer, our stores are bringing in new stock for Autumn / Winter.
When I was thinking about the sort of coat I wanted to buy this winter, I loved the iconic coat worn by Kim Novak in Vertigo. I searched online for white wool coats and found some gorgeous coats, but they were predominantly designer pieces, well outside my budget.
This coat I stumbled upon when returning a leopard print blouse at Cue (an Australian chain store). I kept the faux fur jacket and returned the skirt and blouse that I previously posted on. I also want to thank everyone for their comments on those items, as I am much happier with this new piece.
So whilst not white or similar cut to the Kim Novak coat, it has a similar sleeve and a classic feel. I like how this is a bit more casual than a full length coat, making it more practical for my climate and lifestyle. I will wear this with jeans and over dresses and skirts. I love the colour so I don't feel this is a compromise in my quest for the perfect white coat.
Any comments or suggestions much appreciated. Photo is just thrown on with what I was wearing at the time, but I do like it with these pastel colours and am finding it is versatile with so much of what I have in my wardrobe.
