My home has style and if you knew me and saw my home, you'd say it looks like me. It's very traditional, good quality furniture, lots of accessories but they have been accumulated over the years and are on display because of their beauty, utility or sentimental reasons. I even have the same color palette as my clothes, white walls, dark furniture, lots of jewel tones in fabrics. Just like my wardrobe.
I work in retail and the thing I like best about my career is working on the floor, merchandising. I've worked in all kinds of stores, high end to discount, and to me there is nothing more satisfying than working with the merch, pulling it together and making a statement. I don't know if it's a knack or a talent, but I've worked with some people who just get it and others who will never get it. It's partly an organizational thing and partly an artistic thing. Plus you need to know what will make something sell.
Probably more than you care to know! But it is an art and a science.
