It's that time of the month, and it shows. I'm bloated up 3 pounds today.
I hope everyone else has better news to report.

I'm down 2.6 pounds this week and feeling VERY motivated again. I went grocery shopping and bought lots of healthy foods and I've actually been cooking (I don't cook!) I am convinced that my weight loss this week is because I have been eating homemade foods and not eating out.

My weight didn't budge from Thursday (boo) BUT I got the okay from the doctor to start running and weight training again, so that will help a LOT.
I *know* this week is going to be good.

I found a silver lining in this craptacular week!! I'm down 1.4 pounds, which i'm pleased with considering I was essentially stationary for most of it.

Sorry about the numbers, Khris and Sarah, but I'm sure they'll be down again within days.

Marianna, amazing loss!! I guarantee you're right about the reason for the drop; there is no substitute whatsoever for home cooking when you're trying to lose weight.

Angie, finally seeing real progress. My hearing is better today than it has been since Friday. The pressure has shifted to my head from my ears and throat, but that's ok and a sign that it's moving around! I'm off work again today and going to see my gp this afternoon just to verify that we're on the right track with treatment and to make sure ears are clear of infection, but if all goes the way I hope, I'll go back to work tomorrow. I'm going batty now!

Will make this quick so as not to hijack... MY EARS ARE CLEARING UP!!!!! Hearing is much improved today, and gp confirms the fluid is subsiding. No sign of infection either. She is glad I went on antibiotics early and simply urged me to stay the course with them. I'm feeling better today than I have in a week, and I took advantage of that to enjoy the spring-like weather and go for a little walk. I felt especailly good doing it in my borderline-too-loose favourite jeans, graphic tee, boyfriend blazer and converse.
Thanks for all your patience with me lately, ladies!

My sisters and I keep each other accountable daily on a little blog we've set up for us to keep in touch.
One of my sisters challenged me to do "less talk, and more DO". So we are using Nike's "Just Do It" as our motto this week. I read all of the weight loss books, keep tabs on fitness gurus, and have all of the great workout DVDs, miles of road, and great equipment at my disposal. But all of that is moot if I don't utilize it.
I'm down 1.4 pounds from yesterday as a result of just doing it. Yay!

Well I think it must be 8 weeks since I started my challenge to lose about 5 pounds in 6 weeks. It was pretty much a failure. I only kept up some of my planned changes. I just don't have the will power you guys so impress me with. I am down about 3 pounds which I am mostly pleased at.
I seem to waver between just being happy to be here and thinking why bother to do anything else - and finding handfuls of flab that I might look better without!

Well done Marianna, Sarah, Amy and Michelle (and Michelle glad you are on the mend; I have been thinking of you)

Khris TTOM is a challenge for so many reasons.

I have successfully de-bloated two pounds now. I'm on the way!
Anne- you've lost 3 pounds. That's a success in my book!

Anne- given that you don't have much to lose, 3 pounds is really good. A trainer once told me to aim for a pound a month. 3 pounds is more than you would have lost if you didn't set a goal in the first place.
