Thanks Joy! That helps. I think I'm similar - I go for awhile at the same weight, for what seems like forever, and then occasionally get these drops on the scale. That said though, I know I need to get a bit more serious, back to logging food, tracking stuff and so on.
Meanwhile, I don't know if anyone else feels the same way, but when I do get to my goal, I'm going to end up saying something like, "YLF Got Me To Goal". Better than Biggest Loser, better than umpteen diet books or scientific-sounding exercise plans. If I have to read another diet book, I'll scream! The prospect of a style makeover of sorts is way more fun and appealing to me at this point than sets of abdominal crunches or the zillionth, precisely measured-out tablespoon of salad dressing. This isn't to say that I won't keep doing these things, it's just that YLF is making it FUN to want to continue.
Good-bye Mom jeans and boxy polo shirts. My old XXL fleece jacket can take a hike. No more utilitarian khakis or clunky black 'walking shoes'. No more pale pink or lavender because Mom says they make my eyes look pretty. No more head-to-toe black outfits on a sweltering hot day because it's "slimming". You get the idea.
