I love your denim shirt Carla. The cognac trim really makes the shirt. I always have a denim shirt in my wardrobe and I wear it a lot. I would like another. Denim shirts are the only button-ups I wear.

I've just been putting together a Pinterest board of Lauren Hutton and her stylishness - you remind me of her in this outfit. Love it. I agree, denim shirt is a must.

I love this on you! Really great look.

I don’t have one - I find them tricky - bust, shirt waisted, do I tuck or not? I think they really suit white jeans and I live the simplicity of how you wear this!

Yours is great, Carla! I have two denim shirts, and I can't recall the last time I wore either of them. I have a third one, a quirky sewing-project kind of version that is a mash-up of two shirts, and I have worn that one a few times in the past year.

I don't have one as the perfect denim shirt has eluded me. I will buy one when I find it - I want a very soft denim shirt in a pretty pale shade of blue - so I know what I want, it is just a matter of finding it. I love this look on you and how fab to have the leather trim detail.

I have never owned a denim shirt. Weird.
Yes i have 4, yes 4!, denim shirt dresses! 2 long sleeved and 2 short. Not sure how that happened, but I find them completely comfortable & very flattering! I purchased 2 of them from Old Navy a couple of years ago and they have been a staple in my wardrobe.

Blue denim is my default bottom so denim shirts are tricky with that, especially since I don’t tuck button downs (I feel like most intentional denim on denim looks feature eg. a nice cognac belt). I like your combo but I reserve white denim for summer, just a personal preference.
Those lists never worked for me, but I went through a phase around that same time of trying various denim shirts and owned one I never really loved. I think they were really popular on Pinterest at the time, like ‘see how many ways you can style this one simple piece!’. In the end I concluded what I really wanted was a denim jacket - I love actual thick denim, but I don’t love chambray or tencel or button downs!

Thanks for the reminder to get out my light denim Gap button down that I always forget about. I love to travel with it because of the ability to layer as others have mentioned, but it can go many months with no love.

You look great!
