I had some time this morning so I immediately jumped on Carla’s challenge: https://youlookfab.com/welookf.....-challenge

My terms: anything pre-pregnancy (so roughly five years old) is a contender. I have some older pieces than that but mainly in the coat, bag and party dress department (or strictly layering tees). I will style an outfit around one ‘old’ piece because the idea is to make it look current and also because I don’t have so very many older pieces that I could pair two.

For my first outfit I decided to style a plaid shirt. Coincidentally, I had worn my other plaid shirt just last week in an attempt to give it new life, so here you get two challenge outfits for the price of one ;). When I bought these I mainly wore them untucked over skinny jeans, possibly with a longer vest layered over, and with heeled booties and a black leather jacket for some supposedly rockstar chique.

I’m very much into turtlenecks right now so that’s where last week’s outfit came from. Then today I wore the plaid shirt in a pretty basic way but I think the combination with these self-belted pants and flat lace-ups is very 2020 - with a nod to nineties grunge and forties post-war tomboy style. Feel free to disagree or offer more suggestions to bring plaid shirts into 2020!

Last pic is a sneak peek of the outfits to come :). Probably not all of them this week but definitely planned for sometime in the following two weeks.
