WIWinwinter: all the patterns

I didn't have time to post this winter/fall but I wanted to share some outfits I enjoyed wearing for whatever reason. I welcome suggestions for improvement (as happy and perfectly working aren't the same ).

This was a lot of pattern and color at once. I wore the iteration with the gray skinnies, but also wanted to test out different jeans. What works best? What might work better?

leopard coat - loft
butterfly blouse - Forever 21
plaid wool scarf - grandpa's hand me down
sneakers - diesel

outfit soundtrack (idea stolen from approprio ) - At the zoo, Simon and Garfunkel

You have such an amazing eye for color and pattern - and what looks good on you. This is fantastic, and attainable (meaning where you got most of your items is affordable for most people) but I know it takes the right choices to find the right things and put them together to look this great!

For my eye (and I do like high contrast) I like the jeans in #3 best. I believe they draw out the blue in the coat and scarf. Jeans yes, but sharp.

Great pattern mixing! You would bring a smile to my face in winter weather!

Killer, and super fun for Spring. I am energized just looking at this outfit. This outfit can represent the Picasso challenge actually. HAH.

Ha Angie, you are right, this could work for that painting, I was thinking too literally when I was brainstorming.

Here's the version I wore today with my blue plaid jeans to make it extra hectic and OTT. (Also I'm amazed by those who can take good mirror photos, it's a real skill I've yet to master).

In a million years I would never have thought all of these things would go so well together. The composition is really more like the creation of a floral arrangement or a painting than anything I'm doing when I get dressed. You look amazing.

You are one of the most creative people out there, Rabbit. I just love your playful sense of fashion, and it's always beautiful, too. How do you do it?

I love the print of the top with the scarf, so gorgeous. I'm especially a fan of them with cuffed jeans, of course (tomboy factor). And can we please talk about those sneakers???? And that matching clutch???? I would die for both.

I've missed your unique style. And I love your new hair. Happy day - you've brought spring to my computer screen.

You have incredible mixing skills. I like how the scarf looks in the first picture with the coat. In the second picture I prefer without the scarf, but just slightly. Even works incredibly with the plaid pants. I am very impressed.

Oh my goodness I absolutely LOVE the version with the plaid jeans! Wow! Totally works! You are amazingly creative and all versions are fantastic. Great idea with the soundtrack - I missed that from approprio but will go back

I like them all. (Is that a surprise? Don't I like all of your outfits?) The plaid pants are really fun with the outfit. The darker jeans look more sleek. The gray allows the patterns to really shine. The boyfriend jeans add another element with the cuff, for another OTT look.

Rabbit, thanks for the shout out I love all these outfits, which could indeed be fielded in the Picasso challenge.

Narrow favourite is 3, because to my eye the very plain dark blue anchors and reinforces the pattern mixing elsewhere while being bold enough to stand on its own. All the rest are great though.

I love both of the skinny pants, and can also picture this outfit with wide legged/cullotes too.

It is really hard to choose. I had to go through the photos three times. Really they are all good. My personal preference (only by a few percentages) is number three with the blue skinnies.
Terrific items, all of them and they look so good on you.

Wow! Love the perfectly executed pattern mixing. I think all three pairs of jeans (and plaid pants) work really well and I'm going to agree with some of those who've said they have a slight preference for 3 as I do too. The stronger blue tone is kinda nice.

You really do have a knack for mixing unexpected patterns/colors and creating a pleasing look Rabbit. I have a slight preference for the first look. I like that the more tailored pant has a smoothness that is mirrored in your hair style. It is similar to bookending but with the smooth texture (or lack of texture). I also like the added outfit quite a lot.
