4 days in Curaçao, and I feel like I want to throw out all my clothes and replace them with new ones in colours of turquoise, pink, and yellow! It is a temporary madness, brought on by heat and humidity, I am sure!
After 3 days of lazy beach time, DH and I bused into the town of Willemstad, a UNESCO Heritage site. We spent the day walking up and down streets looking at interesting architecture, crawling over the remains of two forts built by the Dutch in the mid 1600’s and window shopping the luxury stores favoured by the cruising set
There is tourist fashion, and local fashion, but what struck me the most was what the school ‘kids’ were wearing. Boys and girls (teenagers) were ALL wearing skin tight skinny jeans, polos in school colours and the most outrageously coloured platform sneakers!
