Thanks so much, everyone.

Penny, I would LOVE to find another of these tops. But alas, Cassis has gone the way of the Dodo. It was a terrific store for Canadian women with lovely, simple, higher quality clothes that nodded to trends without being overtaken by them -- sophisticated and elegant clothes with clean lines. This top was actually a gift from our own Celia who decided that that taupe colour didn't suit her so well.

I actually think this would be a super simple top to sew, however, and I have been wondering about Jayne's idea of buying fabric and taking it to a seamstress. There are no zippers or buttonholes except for the tab sleeves (which could easily be omitted as tabs). If you can sew, it would be the easiest thing in the world to make. I would actually like a couple of these in my key colours.

Suz - you have your style NAILED in every single one of these outfits. You look polished, fashionable and comfortable in each ensemble. You have chosen your recent purchases so incredibly well that I can see you mixing and matching these items without becoming bored with them.

You look positively radiant in the blue dress BTW

I want your whole collection....I just love how you reuse peices, the outfits are still all so unique and you look polished and fab in all of them. I really need to join team 'crisp and polished' because I see both you and Angie are there. Don't know how that suits my Emanuelle Alt side though.

Jayne, thanks!
I guess it all depends on which side of Emmanuelle appeals. Her minimalism or her rocker-chic persona! The minimalism (and white jeans) are definitely a part of my own style. The rocker chic not so much.

Suz, you look great in all the outfits!

Really like #1 and the addition a a broad white belt adds interest to the whole attire.

And the addition of a denim jacket to the lovely blue dress instantly transforms the outfit from ladylike to rocker-chic!

Hey Suz, I've just been lurking these days, waaaaaay to busy to do much posting, esp as I tend to look in bed on my ipad and hate typing on that while lying down! And I was at a conference myself for a week. But I had to come out of lurkdom to say WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a totally awesome conference capsule. All your outfits pull together beautifully. I must get back into the swing of things here so I know what to look for for the winter! Where did you get the animal print top, I love that.

Thanks Asingh and Elizabeth P. Elizabeth, the animal print sweater is from DVF. It is called the Tinkit. I got it during the NAS.

Late to this thread, but I had to chime in and say how fantastic you look in all iterations from more casual day looks, through smart casual to dressy evening. I'm blown away by it all !

2, 6 and 8 are my favorites here, just because I adore that jacquard print blazer. A great piece. I also really like your striped skirt and sneakers outfit, casual and fun. You did a great job dressing for many events. A nice little capsule here.

I particularly love the first outfit and the dress! Girl, that dress on you is divine!

So behind on posts! I wanted to pop in and say that I smiled broadly when viewing your conference wear. A wardrobe that fits, flatter, and works for your real life is quite an accomplishment. Being able to dress so fabulously --- so consistently makes a big impact professionally, too. You have a great ability to look amazing without appearing that you're trying to do so. If I were looking for a successful writer/mentor in a room full of them, I'd single you out in a minute.

Love the new jacquard jacket. So yummy, and it's amps up everything you pair it with.

WOW! I'm certain you were the best dresses there. All are FAB, my favs are 1 and 7.

Catching up on WIW posts since returning from abroad, and felt compelled to comment on your beautiful conference capsule. Totally fab, as usual, but wanted to let you know that I found #7 particularly elegant/rich looking. It seems like a weird thing to say, but you rock taupe!

Lovely, lovely set!

You look amazing in all of them!

All these outfits are fabulous but #2 took my breath away. You have such great presence and style

Stunning.
My fav... oh Gosh, how hard it is too choose! OK, the striped skirt and the dress combos.

#1 is so Angie-esque I can't stand it. #2 makes me realize that lengthening your torso is definitely the way to go. The red belt draws the eye lower and has the over all effect of making you look taller -- along with the heels that draw the eye down. #3 the wedge sneaks lengthen your leg and seem to extend the visual footprint of the skirt. The black top definitely lengthens your torso so the light blue contrast of the cropped jacket has no effect on shortening your torso especially since the striped skirt is higher contrast and draws the eye down. #4 is simply fabulous. #6 is so chic, so polished, so visually compelling and hits the perfect chord.

What Beth Ann said, exactly! You have completely nailed what works for you and every single outfit is flattering and stylish while not looking the least bit overdone or fussy. Simple perfection.

And gosh you look gorgeous in blue!

Probably the last to chime in here, but I had to say you look fantastic in everyone of these pics. You've incorporated patterns (stripes, animal, jacquard), shine, texture... and you've mixed it all up so that nothing looks redundant or repetitive. This is a capsule I could handle... in fact, I'm going to catalog your items and see if I can do something similar with my own closet.

See, I can't be creative but I can copy you!
