WIW with Prints

Hi,

Here are some outfits from a few weeks ago. I'm having trouble finding a good photo spot at the moment, but these were still on the camera.

#1-Zebra print
The jeans here have a subtle leopard print too.

#2-Horse print
Trying out a shorter sweater with wide trousers.

#3-Catalog outfit
I adored this look in the NAS catalog and it finally got cold enough to wear it.

#4-Leopard scarf
Adding print with a scarf.

#5-Poncho
Another attempt at layering volume over non skinnies.

#6-Denim and black
Pairing denim and black is one of my favorite combinations.

Gorgeous outfits, Lisa! I LOVE you in prints. The blue zebra print is so striking on you. Adore the horsey knit and the pairing with the trousers. That one is awesome on you. I love the layering--I can never manage the button down under the knit so I will enjoy that one on you. The poncho outfit is gorgeous too--you know me and ponchos <3!! The column of blue with the colorblocked black sleeves looks so sleek and modern. Every one of these is a winner. You look like you are really having fun in your closet!

I love 2 and 5. I think the boot cuts work with the voluminous top in 5 because they are slim and fitted in the thigh and knee. The BR black trousers look really nice on you.

These all look great, Lisa! I especially like the way you've styled that fantastic horse sweater over the white shirt...I love #3 just because...and I'm taking notes on the way you've draped the leopard scarf.

I vote absolutely Killer all round, Lisa.

Your style evolution this season is dramatic and it's been fun to watch. WOW, is what comes to mind when I see this week of outfits. You have totally nailed your casual work style and I love how you've added in the trendy. Well done.

If I had to pick faves, I'm all over #1, #2 and #6. But I feel bad for the other outfits as I type that because they deserve praise too. #3 is just divine. xo

Hey Lisa! It is so good to see your outfits here. I love the fact that you can rock skinnies, bootlegs and patterned jeans. You have a great sweater collection. I'm not really into the animal novelty sweaters that are out this year but the horse one is really classy and cool. The colors are perfect on you!

Shevia-Thanks! The horse top was a recent find while I was shopping for tack for horseback riding. Of all places to find a new top!

Pil-Thanks! I notice I have a tendency to dress in a theme for a week at a time, often it's lots of blues, but in recent months it's been lots of prints. I'm itching to layer my blazers but it's still been to warm to do so.

Beth Ann-Thanks! The horse top is a favorite piece.

Kellygirl-Thanks! I sometimes struggle to layer, I've learned for tops I want to use for layering, go a size up, and then have the underlayer be very form fitting. The Express shirts work well for me because they are cut to hug a curvy figure.

CocoLion-Thanks! I sport a lot of skinnies in cooler months, so the bootcuts are a nice change. I've been trying to wear them as often as I can before the snow starts.

Bionda-Thanks! I often see the leopard scarf paired with denim and black on blogs, so I just had to try it out myself.

Suz-Thanks! The zebra top was a recent purchase from an ATL outlet store. The Ecco botties have a slightly sculptured heel and are quite comfy. I'm impressed with this brand so far. #4 was a combination I often see on blogs and had to try myself.

Angie-Thanks! Wow a killer week, that's super! I'm really enjoying prints this season, it's a nice change up from adding prints with just a scarf.

Tanya-Thanks! The horse sweater is a current favorite print.

Modgrl-Thanks! *waving hi* I'm also not a big fan of the animals on tops right now, but I like the horse one because it's subtle, you have to really look to see it's actually horses. Usually my prints are dots, or stripes, or paisley and that's it.

Faving this thread. I came for the blue zebra, from a Wall flyover, and got sidetracked by the horses and led to #5 and #6. The blue, black, and sand is an A1 colour combo.
