WIW with my temporary tattoo last week

Last week I got a temporary tattoo on my leg and considered it as an acessory .You would think that with a red and blue I would try to color coordinate but it was not always so.And the outfits left me with some doubts.
Here are my questions about this ones:

#1: Do the porportions work or have I made my bottom bigger than it has to be?
#2: Does the combo vest and dress work?
#3:To simple?
#4: How is the fit of these bermudas and do the porportions of shirt and bermudas(they are rolled up) Work?
#5: I'm not loving this shorts, am I the only one? Was this too casual to go to the mall?

my favorite outfits are 2 and 3 here. The dress/vest combo is perfect, as is the simple dress, flats and red bag.
#1 is a nice casual outfit. I think the proportions are great.
I'm not crazy about the bermuda's in #4. I think it's the wrinkling that is leaving you looking less than "pulled together" to me.
I would love to see top #5 with skirt #1. I"m not loving those shorts either... but I'm REALLY picky about shorts. I like shorts that are more fitted at the bottom usually.

QM- I'm going crazy with the fit of shorts this year. The only ones that looked nice were the red ones that I cannot take to many places because they are so short.These are not recent buys and I'm trying to wear them but they bug me.

from what I remember, I loved the red shorts on you. They were much more flattering than these. No, you can't wear them to church, but I thought they would be appropriate for most daytime things.

I think you are right. Better to show the leg than to leave people wondering what all the fabric is hidding.

Celia, I'm going to be watching replies to this. I have a feeling we may be similarly disposed about the shorts thing, and it might be true that slightly shorter ones would work better. (Or perhaps it's shape rather than length; the ones in 4 look as if they might work if they were not so wrinkled?)

I took two pairs of shorts to be hemmed today. They are supposed to be bermudas. They came right to my knee. But when I looked at them, the proportions seemed "off." So I got the seamstress's advice. At first, when I said I wanted them hemmed, she said no, they were okay. Then she looked again at the new length (just an inch different) and totally agreed with me. So...worth considering.

The proportions of all three skirt/dress outfits seem great to me. And all are very flattering to you.

I'm with QM - I love 2 and 3. The vest/dress is a terrific combo. I'd like #3 a little better with a chunky necklace. Maybe red to match your bag.

#1 would look better if the skirt were a titch shorter, IMO.

The shorts outfits are fine, but personally I would like them better if the shorts were a little more fitted. I think they'd look sleeker that way.

I really like that 'tattoo' and you've placed it perfectly (is that the right term?)

1 - This looks very pretty and pleasing to my eye and I would not question proportions without you asking about them.
2 - While the dress on its own is undoubtedly pretty, the vest makes the whole outfit a lot funkier. My favorite from this lot.
3 - Not too simple at all, just right. Actually - beautiful.
4 - I love that top and the scarf combination. I'm terrible with bermudas lengths, so I'll check what other say about that.
5 - This is casual, yes, and whether it was too casual for the mall depends on what you went there for and what the weather was like. I'm not keen on the shorts and also would like to the skirt instead. The top and that bracelet are spot on.

A super set of outfits! Are you considering a real tattoo? LOVE #2, #3 and #4.

The red shorts fit better didn't they. Have you tried more of that brand?

#2,3 & 4 are my favorites. I too think that a chunky necklace would be great with the dress in #3.

I especially love 1-3. The tied up shirt is really cute, the vest and dress look FAB, and the red bag adds enough personality to keep it from being overly simple.

#4 is good, too, although if you felt so inclined you could lengthen the leg a little more by adding a higher shoe or tucking/belting/swapping out for a shorter top. Then again longer legs are at the top of my proportional-optical-illusions list.

#5 is cute overall, but have you mentioned disliking those shorts before? I have a poor memory, but I want to say that you have others you like better. As for the mall issue, I'd say it depends on which stores you were headed for and what the cultural norm is. I've personally been treated very rudely when dressed down because I was in an area where people sort of like to flaunt their wealth. Sad to say, but in that case dressing up actually helps get better service. :T

Angie- Yes, I am considering a real tattoo and quite like the placing of this one but am a little afraid that this is a dificult place to disguise a tattoo if I wish to do it or if the situation so requires.
Yes, the red shorts looked better and I've seen on-line that GAP has the same shape but a little bit longer, although they don't have it in red. I might consider the red and take a bit of the hem down.
Rae- That is precisely the point about the casualness of the outfit. In my area most people dress a little bit dressier and I meet people in the mall that I see at other functions where I'm usually more dressed up.This outfit combination is too casual for the image I want to project of myself.
And in Portugal you do get service acording to how you are dressed. Here I don't feel it so much.

I think you look fab! What a great week! I love you in the dresses, and I think the blue top/scarf in #4 is really, really terrific. I like the length of those rolled pants, but I think because the fabric is lightweight and light-colored the pants look less polished than the sweater/scarf, if that makes sense...I have this issue in the summer too. I am certainly not going to be wearing lightweight wool with a lovely drape :), so I wear lightweight cotton and accept that there will be wrinkles. Somehow darker colors seem like they show fewer wrinkles, so I tend to gravitate toward darker shorts/pants. Or you can just wear linen and embrace the rumpled, wrinkly look. I think the bermuda shorts are okay in the last pic--maybe the goal is to find some shorts that are in between the red ones and these in terms of length? Might be the sweet spot: flattering, not too short to wear out and about, etc. Easier said than done, probably :).

#1-Looks fine but I'd add a cardigan cinched with a belt if you felt the bottom was showcased too much.

#2-I like this layered look.

#3-Is simple and just lovely, the print is the star here.

#4-I see a scarf and am loving that. Great color top here too.

For #4 and #5 shorts, the material is it thin? I find shorts, I need a heavier weight material for a better drape on my bottom half. If the shorts were more the material of a trouser (such as a suit material) and less of a chino pant, perhaps that would help?

Not sure about 1. I really like the vest with the dress in 2. 3 is simple but great--that's the beauty of dresses. I REALLY like the clams in 4. I am not loving the shorts in 5 but the top is wonderful.
