WIW: white jeans for spring outfit 3

A lovely spring day in the Bay Area today, so I thought I'd break out the white jeans. Here's my interpretation of Angie's outfit #3, from her "Casual white jeans on a sunny spring day" blog post.

I'm a bit unsure of wearing converse with skinnies - I believe Angie has cautioned against this look for older ladies. Does it look silly?

I think you look cute. You have a creative and arty vibe to your style, Cathy, and I think this fits. That being said, you won't see me wearing Cons with anything but bootcuts! You look SO hip!

The picture is a bit dark, but the jacket looks great over those white skinnies and I love the white watch with it. I am not a huge converse person, and it is hard to see, but I think they work with this outfit. Good job!

It s a bit dark but the converse seem to work well with the rest and look age appropriate to me.
I guessta if you want to make them more grown up you can try the same outfit but wit a casual blazer instead of the cardigan.

Nicely done, Cciele! This looks like you interpreted Angie's look with more of the sporty stance that's around this season, and it looks great! The Cons are perfect for that.

Thanks so much everyone! So glad to hear the Converse are working with the jeans, phew!

About the jacket -- it's hard to tell from the photos, but it's a knit with shoulder pads and the hem has a high-low thing going on -- in the back it's just under my shoulder blades and you can see where the front is

Sorry about the poor lighting in my photos; I really got to do something about that...
