I went to a fabulous event put on by my local chapter of the Alzheimer Society. They call it "Purse-suasion", and it features a live and silent auction of handbags. I have long coveted the Pippa bag by Modalu and there was one on auction. Got it for an even $500 CDN, and it came with a blackberry playbook inside! And a dust cover. It was a great time. I don't have any pics of me by myself to share but I included a pic of the dress I wore. The most expensive purse went for $975 and it wasn't even real leather (but it came with a gourmet tasting with wine pairings for 8 people at a really nice restaurant - I think that is what drove the price up!
